Stay close to the fjord in this cozy cottage that is perfect for relaxation and socializing. You have a view of the fjord, which you can reach after a short walk. Bring a thermos of coffee and sit around a table with benches where you can enjoy the view and fresh air. In the garden you have plenty of space to lie in the sun and relax on the comfortable sun loungers. The well-equipped kitchen is openly connected with the living room, from which you can directly reach the terrace. There are three inviting bedrooms, one with built-in beds slightly higher than usual, which is great for children. Freezer in the converted garage, also washer and dryer, table soccer and a small emergency toilet that you can use when you are in the garden.
The area invites you to go on excursions by bike or on foot. On the nearby Egholm Gods estate there is a museum and store, in Roskilde you can see the Viking Ship Museum and the Gothic Cathedral, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Nice location but don't expect too much

The house is located in a quiet village. The beach is within short walking distance. Unfortunately, the house itself is not really welcoming. It wasn't really clean (but what to expect when others have to clean at the end of their holidays) and it was full of spiders in every window. In addition, the door to the terrace was broken and couldn't be opened, which made the terrace basically useless for us. The door was broken not too long ago and this wasn't communicated by the owner. This is really disappointing.

Remote Danish Summerhouse

A very typical Danish family summerhouse. It is fairly remote and you will need a car, shopping is 10 minutes away. 2 bedrooms are fine for adults but the 3rd is really only for children with 2 thin built in beds. There is a good sized kitchen with a dishwasher and the dining table is large. Nothing is provided such as condiments, dish soap, dish towels, bath towels or bedding (the last 2 items can be rented). Our only issue is the overall cleanliness of the home, it took us 2 days to air out the stale cigarette smoke and the home could use a good cleaning.

Urlaub mit Blick auf Fjord

Gut zu erreichendes Objekt in wie einer Bungalowsiedlung. Sehr ruhige, gepflegte Umgebung mit Möglichkeit zu Spaziergang ans Wasser. Das Haus war mit allem ausgestattet, was man im Urlaub benötigt. Wir haben nur einen Wasserkocher vermisst, bzw. in Kirke Hyllinge (5 min mit Auto, 3 Supermärkte) nachgekauft. Leider hat die Sauberkeit etwas zu wünschen gelassen (Bad, Kühlschrank und Schränke, …) bei der Übernahme. (Uns erschließt sich eh nicht, warum es generell keine Endreinigung vom Anbieter gibt, denn wer will Hausputz im Urlaub machen und jeder putzt anders.) Ob die Stühle unbedingt Sitzflächen aus Stoff shaven müssen und in einem Schlafzimmer Teppich liegt bei Kamin, denke darüber gehen die Meinungen auseinander, bei einem Objekt das wohl überwiegend vermietet wird. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit und Sæby ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Touren in alle Richtungen, auch nach Malmö mit akzeptablen Fahrzeiten.
