About this property

Tails Up Retreat is located in the heart of the Glacial Lakes Region of NE South Dakota.
Enjoy the small town community of Webster while being only ~50 miles from Aberdeen or Watertown.
Property is set up with sportsmen in mind with a heated garage, game and fish cleaning shack, and outdoor dining area but great for family get always to the region as well. Dog friendly with fenced yard.

Updated 1920s built house to give a modern feel to its original character.

The main level consists of a large living room attached to a semi- open kitchen, two bedrooms, and one bathroom. Fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs. Coffee bar in the kitchen featuring locally roasted coffee. Pantry available for food storage. Eat-in kitchen with seating for 4 at the counter. The living room has a 65" smart TV equipped with YouTube TV, Discovery +, and Paramount + subscriptions, a 4 seat reclining couch & two recliners. The large entryway in the front of the house has a large safe to store any firearms or valuables.

Two bedrooms on the main level with Jack and Jill bathroom. Bedroom one has a queen bed, walk-in closet and a TV with Chromecast. Bedroom two is just enough space to catch a great night's sleep on a sturdy twin over full bunk .
The basement is set up as the master suite with a king bed and full bathroom. All beds are memory foam mattresses.

Washer and dryer available for guest use is in the basement and accessed through the basement master bedroom.

12' x 20' heated game and fish cleaning shack for your use in the backyard.

24' x 28' heated two stall garage with an 8’ door to use as parking or gear storage. The garage has plenty of hooks and hangers to dry out any hunting & fishing gear. The large TV with chrome-cast and folding picnic table make it a great place to hang out.

The covered deck features a counter height patio table with 6 chairs. It also has a Blackstone and Traeger for all of your cooking needs.

The concrete patio behind the garage offers a great place to relax on around a campfire with 6 adironadak chairs and a Solostove. Note: Firewood is not provided but can be purchased locally at Caseys or Cenex.

Respectful dogs are welcome in the house. Outdoor kennel also available or bring your own kennels for the garage.

Great stay will all the amenities

A small group stayed at the Tails Up Retreat for a ice fishing trip. The house, garage, and cleaning shed had everything we needed and more. The amenities are amazing and all the facilities are very clean and well kept. We will be looking at availability and hoping to book for future ice fishing trips.

We are a local Webster family and hope to offer you a clean, quality, and comfortable stay while you visit the area. Sam works in product development for a corn genetics company and Olivia works in animal health. Sam spends quite a bit of his time on the road for work so he understands the importance of feeling at home while traveling. Our daughter, Elaina, was born in July of 2021 and provides us with our daily dose of smiles and laughs as her sweet personality shines. Our son, Elliott, was born in November of 2023 and continues to bring us joy everyday. We enjoy getting to know our guests and providing quality, warm hospitality in the Webster area.
