Start your day with a steaming cup of coffee on the patio and get the outdoor, wood-burning fireplace crackling for some extra ambiance. Spread out on a the chaise with a good book and the water view for company – take your time, you’re on vacation. When you get hungry, head to the kitchen to make some breakfast.

The open living area means everyone can congregate while you cook in the well-equipped, modern space, which features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, lots of cabinets, and all the gadgets you need to whip up a feast. When it’s time to eat, grab a seat at the adjacent dining room table, which seats six, or one of the two stools at the breakfast bar.

When you’re ready to start exploring, you’re steps from the water, and all the natural beauty of Camano Island is an easy drive away. When you return, get the slate-tiled propane fireplace in the main living space going to add to the cozy factor and then adjourn to the TV room to stream your favorite shows on the flatscreen. Even better, grab one of the provided board games and play a round of Scrabble at the dining room table. If you’re working from home, there are two dedicated desk areas available as well.

And, if you’re still feeling energetic, the loft space in the main bedroom suite – accessible via a captain’s ladder – features workout equipment, set up with a view of the water. Afterward, relax in the en suite bathroom's soaking tub. Those traveling with children will love the secret-feeling kids’ space tucked behind the closet in the other bedroom on this floor, complete with toys, a day bed, and a kid-sized couch. With so much character inside and so much natural beauty outside, a visit to the Captain's Paradise may just become an annual tradition – all that's left to do is book.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
