You're going to love staying in this attractive two-bedroom home during your next Arundel vacation. Inside, you'll find lots of creature comforts spread out across a bright and welcoming living space. The lower level features an open concept between the living, dining, and kitchen areas, so you can keep up with conversation no matter what room you're in. When you're not out collecting seashells on Fortunes Rocks Beach, less than 12 miles away, kick your feet up in the living room to watch a good movie or show on the large flatscreen TV then head into the full kitchen to prepare tonight's home-cooked meal for your dinner guests. You'll have lots of stainless steel appliances and counter space to play with, and the dining table seats up to six guests, with three stools available at the breakfast bar. Don't forget to assemble a few libations for your friends via the bar cart to the left of the French-door refrigerator. The gas fireplace will keep everyone nice and toasty on those chilly nights, and summer guests will appreciate the central AC when they're not splashing around in the community pool. Take advantage of the high-speed WiFi to research a new outdoor adventure or accomplish those last-minute online projects. Afterward, you can visit the shared hot tub for a relaxing soak with friends or the community game room for a fun game of Ping-Pong, foosball, or air hockey.

Great house!

The house is conveniently located to many nearby attractions. It is nicely decorated and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

The cottage was spotless and comfortable. We had some communication issues with check in, which hopefully will be resolved with the next guests.

Nice House, Poor Management

The community pool and club house were beautiful and we enjoyed the short walk there from the house with our kids many times. The house was nicely furnished in a nautical theme but lacked a lot of essentials. There were no dressers or drawers in either bedroom to store any clothing. The kitchen did not have any sheet pans or oven safe dishes for heating up food in the oven. There was also no home manual to explain anything. We did not have instructions on where to dispose of garbage, hours of the pool, gym etc. There was no information whatsoever on anything. I’ve rented many homes in the past and have never encountered this before. There were multiple issues with the wi-fi throughout the stay which we believe was due to an outage in the area. We had the unfortunate experience of ants coming in the front door and into the living area beginning the day after we arrived. We also found ants coming into the kitchen and both downstairs bathrooms. (Please note that this part of the review is based on the management company that we had to deal with). It was unfortunate that this impacted our entire trip. I called vacasa to report the problem. I was told I would hear back from someone within an hour to remedy the situation. That hour came and went and I never heard from anyone. Later that day I called vacasa again. After speaking with multiple agents, I was told that my “ticket” was mistakenly sent to a maintenance person who was off that day. After multiple phone calls and finally speaking with a local manager, they were able to get a substitute maintenance person to install ant traps inside the home and spray around the perimeter. Unfortunately this did not solve the problem and the ants continued to be a nuisance. The following day I was back on the phone with vacasa to explain that we were still having an issue. They basically told me that they did not think they would be able to get an exterminator there before the end of our stay. At this point we were considering moving out of the home. The option they offered for another location was not comparable to our current location and would not have worked for our family. At this point we asked for compensation for the hassle this had caused. After hours on the phone for multiple days with multiple people from vacasa, this was certainly not how we wanted to spend our vacation. Vacasa gave us partial compensation for all of the trouble but I would never rent a home managed by vacasa again.

Cape Arundel Cottage

The property is very lovely, well sited and designed, nicely decorated , has comfortable beds! The home was in need of a few basics that were not in place but that did get addressed. Vacasa who manages this property needs to be more specific about what amenities are there and not there and be more communicative about the lock box and the workings of the home!
