Holidays in Fort Collins
We came to spend the holidays with our daughter who lives in Fort Collins. This property was just perfect for our needs! It had all the comforts of home! We made great use out of the selection of board games! It is very private on a beautiful piece of property. Easily accessible to everything too! Wanda is an amazing host!!!

Great location and property
This unit had everything you could want from location to amenities. Wanda is super nice and welcoming and this was a peaceful location. If you are attending the Sparkler in NOCO, this location was right in the middle of the different park locations so easy access to them and we brought our net and pitched and hit in the yard. Super clean with nice towels, blankets, sheets and pillows. We sat on the patio listening to an owl in the tree by the house one night, which was peaceful. I only have a few suggestions for the property owner. Make a list of rules and include those in the listing and at the property. It was a little frustrating at times on when we could do things (like having the windows open or using fire pit) and when we couldn't. Big fans for downstairs! One of the rooms is hot with the vent blocked off (most of the vents were blocked off in the rental; closed and blocked with covers) and sometimes we were not allowed to open windows even though the downstairs was warmer than we would have liked. The bigger bedroom's bed was really firm and uncomfortable to us. We had to buy a topper the first night. But that could just be us not liking super firm beds. My teenager was taking a cold bath after a hot practice and I get a text to turn on the fan in the bathroom. (That was a little concerning that someone knew we were in the bathroom and made us uncomfortable.) There are wood mouldings that need to be protected, which we understood. But the notes on everything just said showers and it was a cold bath so again, the list of rules would be helpful. The door and patio area are all glass with no way to provide privacy so need to be aware of that. Again, overall phenomenal place! Just some quirks that have to managed but I would definitely stay here again.

We came out to visit family.
When we got there it was a beautiful property and Wanda was there to greet us. We were so grateful to have stayed there because it was so relaxing to get there after a day shopping, exploring and visiting family. Wanda is a inspiration and a gracious host! We loved every minute of our stay and when we come back to visit family, we will want to stay here again. If you like to walk, you will love the subdivision it's quite picturesque!

Comfortable and relaxing
We had a great stay, and Wanda was very responsive and accommodating. Hanging out in the evening by the fire pit was especially nice.

I lived in CO 1978-1982. I knew this neighborhood back then when a co-worker built their dream home. I was able to purchase the house across the street from that home 17 years later. I wanted the land, mature trees and location. The house I fixed, this being my design, and almost doubled it in size. I've lived here for 25 years. Nine years ago I was in a tragic accident. I have managed like anyone else by rebuilding and figuring life out. I have been in my home for the past 27 years. I love where I live.

Why they chose this property

I really enjoy sharing it and seeing it through my guests eyes. They always enjoy the large peaceful property and love the lush green and mature landscape all while being very close to everything in Fort Collins, CSU and Estes Park.

What makes this property unique

This is larger lots, estates, that has water rights from the Poudre Canyon. With the water shares I am able to irrigate my property via flood irrigation. It is lush and green even in the heat of the summer. Flood irrigation and water rights were only allowed for property that let the run off go right back in the canal and on to the next party. The shares allow the water to be shared. Without the irrigation canals here there were no trees in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Greeley. There would not be any agriculture or ranching. This system was created and built before CO joined the United States. Our Colorado water supports Las Vegas, Arizona and southern California. Before 911 other countries would come and study our system so they could build something for them in their country. Now it is too sensitive of our infrastructure and no longer displayed outside of our country. We can still share the concept, just not our locations.
