Great Location

This house is in a great location for access to Mt Lemmon and Aqua Caliente. It has an excellent backyard for dogs and a nice neighborhood for walking. The kitchen is sparse and having a reasonable number of plates, bowls, and silverware would be helpful, as well as some basic pots and pans. We would stay here again.

So I'll start with the positive. The neighborhood is very quiet and gated which is nice. The bottom level of the house has had updated flooring and lighting. That's where it ends. The carpet throughout the stairs and the upstairs is filthy. All of the fixtures, bathrooms, bedding is outdated. The master bed was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. While the house says it can sleep. 8. You could maybe sleep 6 if you put two people in each bed. The pull out couch could fit one small person or maybe small children. However, the dining room table only seats six. And the couch. If you cram four people on there is tight. Unless you want to sit on an ottoman. The outdoor furniture also barely fits for. However, the backyard is very nice. When I first booked the trip it said the hot tub was available. You requested it ahead of time so they could set it up, which I did and they responded it was not available. When we checked in I asked how we could use the community pool because it was hot while we were there, they responded it's closed for the season. It does not say that anywhere on the listing. It also says there is a barbecue available so I asked where is the barbecue. They said it has to be requested and then delivered. One of the remote controls for one of the bedrooms was missing. They said they could deliver another one but at that point I figured. What's the point? This whole situation is very disappointing. Multiple amenities that are listed on the site are not available. One of the kitchen pans was absolutely filthy with food stuck in the bottom of it. Very limited kitchen essentials. So if you want to make just the basics it's okay but that's about it. The coffee maker is tiny Would not serve more than two people. The whole place seems very cheap and outdated.

Very well located home in a safe and secure gated community.

Owners were good to deal with and the process was easy. The home is in a good and safe location. The home layout fit our needs. The home could be perfect with some replacement of worn out carpet and sofa. The fire place was perfect for January in Tucson.

Worst VRBO experience ever

I have been renting VRBOs for many, many years and this was the worst experience I have ever had. The host was perfectly nice until I checked into the house and noticed how filthy it was. The hosts asked me to provide pictures, which I did, and they then proceeded to tell me that I had made the mess and then taken the pictures to send them! Unbelievable! Check in was 3:00 and I sent the first text to them at 3:24, I highly doubt I had time to make such a mess. There was dog pee in the corner of the family room on the floor, the sheets were stained, the refrigerator had crumbs and dried goo all over it, the oven was a disgusting mess, there was a mass of crumbs and stains and food underneath the kitchen where the trash bin was. Most of this mess was not created from recent renters, this has been around for a while. Once I explained to the hosts, they blamed me and refused to refund my cleaning deposit and told me to leave the property. I had already paid for the property so I was not about to spend double the money and move somewhere else. I'm sure there will be a rebuttal but I have pictures and screenshots of the texts they sent me. All in all, it was not a bad house but it's very old and not at all maintained. Some of the cabinets don't close correctly, the shower faucet doesn't turn off correctly and drips for quite a while after you have used it, the upstairs hall bathroom does not drain well, the remote was missing from one of the TVs in one of the bedrooms, the handle on the microwave is falling off, etc. With a little TLC, it would be a nice house. It is a very nice gated neighborhood and very quiet but they need to put some work into this house.
