Riversong
Great location...quiet, near stream in woods. Nice house with bedrooms separated on each side of house. Had minor problem with hot tub controls. Owner was very responsive to our needs. Close to Black Mountain and easy drive into Asheville. We did the LaZoom Comedy bus and Dueling Piano Bar.

Beautiful Place to Stay!
This house was amazing. It had everything we needed and was quiet and the drive to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock were close. Every day I walked my dog in the running creek behind the house and had a bonfire and relaxed in the hot tub. One evening a bear was sighted next door but never came back. We are in the woods..We will be back!

Riversong was Bliss
The property is gorgeous, very private and well appointed. The dog friendly, recently built cabin sits on a babbling brook type river with a hot tub and fire pit. The cabin has everything you need from marshmallow roasting sticks to dog treats! Wi-Fi was a bit slow and we were not able to get indoor fireplace lit. The location is perfect to visit Black Mountain and Chimney Rock. We hiked waterfalls, including Moore Cove, High, Triple, Pearson and Hickory Nut, mountain biked and tubed in the Green River. On a rainy day, we toured towns from Asheville to Bryson City and back. My daughters played games and worked puzzles provided by the host. The dog loved splashing in the river and racing around the huge yard.We didn’t want to leave!

Quiet, clean and relaxing cabin!
The cabin was immaculate and cozy. The creek on the property made the stay so relaxing. We have had a hard time finding a suitable place with two retrievers and they loved the creek and had ample space to play in the yard or relax on the deck. The cabin was equipped with everything needed to cook or relax and watch a movie in the evenings. We enjoyed our stay!!

Riversong Cabin! Well appointed, felt like home!
We were so happy with the Riversong Cabin, it's well appointed and clean. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. The hot tub and firepit was awesome. Property had a huge yard (back/front) for our dog to enjoy and a take a little dip in the creek. Tip for dog owners, watch your pups near the road out front. Trucks and cars drive really fast down the road. Downtown Asheville was a 25 min drive away, easy to get to. We parked and toured the breweries via Uber. Black Mountain main street is a lovely place, which is about 7 miles down the mountain. Great shops, great restaurants. We went to Trailhead for burgers and beers. They also have breweries too! There is also Ingles Market in town. Huge grocery store , has everything you need. Check-in was seemless and the owners were helpful with any questions we had. They also provided many toiletries , cleaning products, hand soaps, sponges, baskets in the bathrooms were equipped with travel size items like a hotel. Very nice touch on the owners part in case you forget to pack something. We would definitely rent this cabin again, it was fantastic.

Long Week-End
The cabin is super-cute and just as described...we were not in anyway disappointed with the accommodations. The only negative - and it was a big one for us - was the hot tub was not "on" when we arrived on Friday and couldn't be used until Sunday night...it took that long to heat up! I called the property manager about it upon arrival and never got a response...I wasn't even sure how to get it "on" but we figured that out. It was a huge consideration for us because my daughter is disabled in her back and has to use a hot tub on a daily basis...I didn't even consider properties without one. In fact, I called the property manager prior to booking to confirm the hot tub was functional, etc. To not have it "ready" at check-in was upsetting and directly affected her comfort through the stay. Otherwise, the cabin was perfect and the location is great.

Does not meet expectations
We arrived at Riversong hoping to have a great weekend with family. My mother-in-law could not wait for me to finish unpacking before starting up the fireplace. Alas, it would not work. Consulted the cabin guide book and tried the steps, no go. I gave her the bad news but held out hope that my son-in-law could get it going when he arrived later that evening. "No worries" I said, lets get the hot tub going and we can have a relaxing evening without the fireplace. I opened the cover and was immediately hit with the stench of algae-water, pretty stinky. And the temperature of the water, about 75. OK, so turn up the thermostat and hope for the best. Sent an email to the "owners" seeking help. Daughter and son-in-law (and baby) arrived late so trying to get things going had to wait until day 2. Son-in-Law also could not get fireplace working and the hot tub was still not to temperature, only 95. And it still stunk. Turned on the jets to maybe flush the stink ... did not work. But we did get a response from the "owners", a canned email welcoming us to the property. Nothing was communicated to address our problems we inquired about (fireplace, hot tub). So for communication, this property gets a thumbs down. Ever the optimist, we decided to play horseshoes but that was cut short too. The pits are ultra-small, not regulation distance and in a state of disrepair. A coupla' other notes, the batteries in the master bedroom remotes were dead, frustrating. Internet is provided by hughes.net which is mostly fine but recognize there is considerable lag-time bouncing back and forth to the satellites. I could not stream the ballgames I wanted to watch. And while a recycle can is provided in the kitchen, there is no recycling bin outside in which to dump it once it is full. Save your effort and just throw everything in the trash. The rest of the long weekend was OK though. The fire pit gets and A+ from me and the baby loved throwing rocks in the river out back. We did not allow the general state of disrepair of the amenities or the poor communication from the host to keep us down. This cabin could be great if the hosts would just pay attention to detail. I mean, the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, some of the arm rests moved because they were (visibly) unscrewed. And firewood, no, there will not be any when you arrive. All it takes is effort and the "owners" don't expend any. I cannot recommend this place. I would add photos if allowed.

Riversong - unplugged
We truly enjoyed our stay at Riversong! The cabin is immaculate. Such attention to details, from a snack tray at the dining table, to any toiletries you might need in bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, the decor was super cute, and even the dishes and silverware were adorable! Truly beautiful location. There is absolutely zero reception for your cellphones so if you plan to stay in touch with family, friends, or work (I hope that's not what you're planning if youre looking for a getaway), know that the wifi will keep you in touch but you will miss calls. That's totally fine! That is exactly what we needed. The creek in the background gave me the most wonderful mesmerizing sound. We spent a night around the fireplace and it was all we hoped for and more. It's secluded but yet right off the road, so easy to get in and out of. This was a top notch cabin and would gladly stay here again.

Beautiful comfy cabin with a soothing flowing creek right in the backyard! Peaceful surroundings and exactly what my family and I wanted. Cabin had everything we needed. And much appreciated that it's a pet friendly rental with no pet fee! Which is unheard of in property rentals. Also close to shopping and grocery store. Would definitly rent this cabin again.

Creekside Outdoor Oasis
We had an absolutely lovely time at this property. The outdoor space cannot be praised too highly. Our 4 year old son loved throwing rocks in the river and the water was shallow enough that he could walk the length of the river without getting in over his waist. There were also large patches of grass on either side of the house for additional play and lounging. Most of our time was spent outside and that was exactly what we hoped for after looking at pictures of the property. It did not disappoint! There were well put together baskets in the bathrooms with a variety of toiletry items that may have been forgotten. There was also a good variety of games and activities provided. We did spot a bear in our last day as well! We did not come with intention to drive into Asheville proper so most of our time not at the house was spent in the town of Black Mountain which was about a 12 min drive. There was plenty for us to do there. The road is a little twisty so be careful if you have carsick kids. Speaking of kids…. There was a pack n play already at the property and the master closet is the perfect place in which to set it up if you have an infant like we do. All in all, this property was exactly what we were hoping. It provided a secluded family getaway heavily focused on outdoor enjoyment while still having what felt like luxury accommodations and plenty of indoor amenities.

Serene and Private
We were a little nervous about this property because it was a new listing, but were so happy we booked this little gem. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed and more. A couple members of our family had forgotten toiletries at home. It was so nice that the bathrooms were stocked with essentials. The kitchen had every week needed and I enjoyed cooking in this cabin. The property was perfect for our family and dogs. Although it isn’t completely fenced in, the split rail fence helped helped keep the dogs in line. We all enjoyed splashing in the river and listening to the sound of the water while we roasted marshmallows by the fire. Thank you for supplying firewood and having a dry bin with sticks to start the fire. This is a detail that is often forgotten. So serene!! We can’t wait to come back!
