Misleading Ad - Not a top rated property
I would like to preface my bad review with our attempt to rectify our dissatisfaction with the owner prior to writing this review. I simply asked for him to change the ad to correct the listing and to have two portable air conditioners delivered so that sleeping was bearable. His response was that "nobody else has complained" and dismissed my further requests. This has been my worst experience as a VRBO'r. BE AWARE THAT THIS LISTING IS NOT ACCURATE! *there is no central air conditioning in this home. There are only two portable air conditioning units for the upstairs bedrooms - the rest of the house requires you to leave windows open all night and suffer through it. *there is no working hot tub - we were told this after we received move instructions. *THE YARD IS NOT USABLE- also not disclosed until move in instructions. This is not a property that is currently being renovated - this is a hack job. If there were real landscapers - they would have raked up the dead debris and the garbage littering the property. The six feet tall weeds around the garage and the impassable side yard leaves you aghast that there is a claim to a "yard re-do". Mail over flowing in the mail boxes. The garage door left wide open and garbage piled almost to the ceiling that the owner claimed was the downstairs tenant - UHHHHH WHAT DOWNSTAIRS TENANT - the ad leaves that out. But - this is also a lie as all of the garbage belonged to the items used to stage the house for pictures. That pretty picture of the front porch is nicely staged. The front porch had not been swept or cleaned for sometime - the carpet was soiled and stained. Your feet are black when you come in from sitting out there. If pictures were allowed - you would see the shower faucet gross with mildew growing under it. The kitchen grout tile not cleaned and blackened by foot traffic. But wait! there's more....THIS IS NOT A SMALL CHILD FRIENDLY HOME! There are not locks on doors leading to attic spaces. There is open wiring on light bulbs hanging from closet ceilings. USE CAUTION when using the upstairs bathroom. The soft flooring around the toilet was extremely concerning. Oh and the nook used for towels and toilet paper in this bathroom - there is no wall behind it - open to the garbage filled attic space creepily open for any child to squeeze through. Shame on this AD and the owner.
