This was a really cute little 2-bed house had clearly recently been attractively renovated. In addition to the surface stuff like a paint job, redone bathroom, and overall decoration which just made it pleasant to be in, a lot of the appliances had clearly been recently upgraded and what a difference that made! Having a really good on-site washing machine and dryer while staying almost 2 weeks (esp. with a toddler) is a real game changer.
I was there with my husband and my toddler, and certainly more people could have comfortably stayed. The beds themselves were comfortable with new, soft bedding. The kitchen was a good size with plenty of counter space. The little backyard was just fine for occasionally giving toddler his snack outside in the sunshine. Plenty of towels provided.
The house was clean and pleasant and the AC worked well (this was important, there were a lot of days where the temperature was 90+).
Matt was easy to get in touch with and very responsive (e.g when the plug for the bathtub was MIA he got us a replacement by the next morning). At one point he needed to replace the batteries in the lockbox in the middle of our stay and gave us lots of notice and made sure we knew he would be there instead of just showing up.
The location itself is great. It's a cul-de-sac so virtually no traffic noise and very safe. It's also a 5 minute drive from downtown Overland Park in one direction and a really nice (kid-friendly) library in the other. There was even a playground within walking distance.
