Unfulfilled Stay
Overall I left 1 star, specifically because I don’t want to give 5 stars on a place we never made it to and I have no other options. We were scheduled to fly in late Thursday night and stay until Saturday then leave for a cruise on Saturday. Our flights were cancelled due to weather and we had to fly into Tampa/St.Pete on Friday night and didn’t get into Tampa/St. Pete until nearly midnight. I know the flight cancellation isn’t the hosts fault, we simply couldn’t get to the location.
The host was prompt with their responses on Thursday evening when I confirmed for them that we were NOT coming due to our flight cancellation. The host was prompt until I asked for a refund of the cleaning fee and then I never heard from them again and was never refunded the cleaning fee. We never stayed there, there was nothing to clean after our stay. I understand that I lost the money for the rent and subsequent taxes and this is a business. But why would the rental need cleaned or prepped for the next renter when we NEVER stayed there?
For these reasons I gave communication a 3 star and all the rest 1.
