Pretty Rough Stay - Cleanliness a Major Issue
Unfortunately was our worst ever rental experience and from reading other reviews, it doesn’t seem like an isolated situation… so providing a review as a heads up to other potential renters.
Cleanliness was a major issue during our stay. Upon arrival, greeted with two large trash cans overflowing with piles of bags/garbage.. located right next to the front door. All floors were in bad shape.. crushed up chips on carpet near pool table and feet literally stuck to the kitchen floor. Two bedrooms closest to the bathrooms had stacks of wet towels (every towel in the house) sitting on the beds. The towels were not damp, were completely wet - they washed them and folded them up wet (again, not damp) and placed them on the beds. None of the bedding had been washed from previous stay, found human hair, stains and “stuff” (crumbs or whatever) in each bed. Kitchen was gross.. again, floor was sticky, sink/countertop were not clean, utensils visibly dirty (gunk on multiple).. we spent most of the 1st evening washing every towel, all bedding, cleaning kitchen. We didn’t bother with utensils, instead we just bought plates and utensils for the stay. No paper towels, 1 roll of TP in each bathroom, other missing items.
Property manager will certainly make excuses, and say they offered to help.. but we were already in the home, after long travel - we didn’t want people in and out of the house doing stuff that should’ve been done before we arrived.
Pool heating also an issue
