About this property

Central Florida home that is a great jumping off point for a multitude of land and water activities. This single story (no steps) pool home is located on a canal that leads to the Dora Chain of Lakes and Lake Apopka. The Dora Chain is known for great fishing, all watersports, and waterfront dining. There is a covered boat dock available for guests, and a public boat ramp is about a mile from the house. Across the canal is undeveloped land which makes for great bird watching from the property, as well as being located near two spots on the Florida Birding Trail. There are 2 public golf courses nearby for golf enthusiasts. The historic town of Mount Dora with fabulous restaurants and shopping is 15 minutes away. Explore beautiful natural springs 20-30 minutes away. For those who may be interested in theme parks, Disney World is 45 minutes away. The Lake Apopka wildlife drive/trail is just 10 minutes away. Long & Scott Farm is just 5 minutes away and is open seasonally for agritourism. Kayaks (3) and bicycles (2) are included with the rental. Bring your boat or rent one from a rental company on the Chain of Lakes!

Couples trip

Very clean and efficient home that met all of our needs. Owner very nice and contacted us proactively with a potential wireless issue that ended up being nothing.

The pictures don't do the place justice

The house is nice, but go outside. The backyard is very spacious and it is just beautiful. We had a great time watching the wildlife, from the birds in the trees to the turtles in the water. There are alligators but they never came close to us and seemed to turn around when they seen us. Highly recommend and may return.

The house was clean and comfortable and thank goodness for comfortable beds,most beds in other homes are not comfortable, thankyou Ms.Liz ,communication with Ms.Liz was timely and prompt. January was a bit chilly due to unforeseen storms so we didn't have a chance to boating or swimming in pool. Maybe next visit.

Great stay!

Beautiful home with every amenity needed plus more! The home is in a nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Liz was great with any request we had. Look forward to returning for a longer stay.
