The estate is located in Coulterville, CA which Reader’s Digest just rated as the “Nicest place in America.” Wake to the sunrise over Clark Mountain Range from Quail Crossing in a gorgeous custom 3023 sf Redwood and stone home built in 2009, beautifully situated and professionally maintained in a stunning location.

The home reigns as Quail Crossing's sovereign. The stone-encased and inset entry beckons guests beneath a wisteria-draped pergola. The entry opens into a bright living room tastefully appointed, but even more importantly, comfortable. Local Yosemite art and artifacts adorn the walls, as does a big screen television. The ginormous and comfy sofa provides the perfect spot to cuddle with those you love most and get cozy after a long day.

To the immediate left is an extended entertaining pub with wet bar, built-in cabinets, extended bar counter, and bright windows and patio door that overlooks the backyard area. Watch the game, play darts, enjoy a beverage and find a reason to let go in the privacy of your own bar. When ready to retire for the evening, close the bar down and drop the murphy bed; the room converts to a perfectly comfortable private bedroom.

A gorgeous and substantial kitchen with recessed lighting, bright windows, knotty alder cabinets with ribbed glass, built-in wall size pantry cabinets and storage, soap stone leather finish counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and gas stove top burners pamper the family chef. Go ahead and prepare that amazing meal; the kitchen is stocked with all the amenities and tools necessary for epic entertaining. The open and inviting kitchen floor plan is the heart of this home, drawing all with its promise of conversation, warmth, hugs, and love.

The kitchen is adjoined on one side with a magnificent and spacious dining area. A commanding table robustly seats 10 to 14 comfortably. A warm reading nook occupies one corner of this great room. Exterior french doors lead from the dining area to an outdoor patio with slate stone and metal gated railing featuring the outdoor granite dining table and a gas burning grill.

To the left of the kitchen rests an intimate breakfast nook, ideal for quiet mornings, warm beverages, and yummy breakfasts. This is where guests start amazing days. As the day warms, the family gathers in the chairs of the breakfast table, center island, dining table, and reading nook--cementing the kitchen as the nucleus of both the family and the home.

The kitchen side door leads directly to the portico, a covered outdoor living room. Outdoor speakers, inset lighting, ceiling fan and fireplace regulate the harshest elements of mother nature ensuring guests a cozy outdoor experience. An outward path through the herbal and floral garden invites guests to the hot tub and custom fire pit. Campfire stories are told here. This is outdoor living at its finest.

The guest bathroom is accessed on the main level off the kitchen offering a glass shower, tile flooring, and private water closet.

The upper level of the main house contains the master bedroom, super-sized loft, and laundry room.

The master bedroom and en suite comprise half the upper level complete with picturesque windows and tunnel skylights letting in wonderful natural light. Sequestered guests indulge in the granite-topped, large jacuzzi tub, dressing table, glass and tile shower and the limitless built in custom cabinetry and drawers. Unwind in the cozy sitting area with television, gas fireplace stove, and a private covered balcony with slate stone, metal railings and overhead fan. The over-sized walk-in closet with shelving and tunnel skylight is almost a room in its own right.

The laundry room with folding counter, sink basin, bright windows, and efficient storage cabinets. is especially useful to guests of longer stays.

Throughout each living area and bedrooms are Daikin mini-split heat and A/C efficient units with individual control settings. Milgard windows insulate the home throughout. A whole house fan helps to keep it comfortably cooler on the warmer days.

Yosemite National Park is 24 mi away to the East (about a 30 min drive). Groveland is a 20 min drive North and offers a quaint Sierra town with cute shops, restaurants, and the Iron Door Saloon (the oldest bar in California).

At Quail Crossing, meadowlands and farmlands of the valley are framed by forests of ponderosa pines and black oak. Guests won't see neighbors--unless they are transported by wings or four legs. Wildlife abounds.

Rush hour is not heard anywhere near this refuge. Do, however, expect the sound of wind whispering through trees--known as psithurism. Guests will search again for that word when posting pictures of this unforgettable property.

Cell phone reception is limited at the property and surrounding areas offering its guests the opportunity to truly escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Please plan to use our satellite WIFI for placing cell phone calls and accessing the internet. Inclement weather such as snow and rain can affect internet access. The property is self-sufficient with gas generators programmed to automatically power the home when outside power is cut-off.

Outdoor activities abound in and around Quail Crossing at Yosemite.

The property faces a lovely country road and pastures which are a delight to walk or bike down as you encounter flocks of wild turkey, cattle, deer, bobcats, and foxes. Care to go for a hike? Head out and explore the Stanislaus National Forest which abuts the East side of the property.

One of the shop areas is a tractor shed/by the covered RV parking and another 960 sf shop with covered porch area utilized now as a hobby/woodwork shop.

Revel in the abundant wildlife that share this property and call it home. Watch the namesake quail scurry to and fro. Listen to the coyotes voices bounce and echo off Wagoner Ridge. Lucky guests might spy the resident bobcat sunning herself in the meadow below. Deer and rabbit abound. Watch and listen to the wild turkeys roosting in nearby trees as the sun sets. Ever hear a wild turkey taking flight, their wings beating the air, striking ponderosa pines fifty feet above the forest floor? It sounds like a helicopter.

When darkness gathers, oh how the stars do shine. Yes, that is the Milky Way.
GUEST ACCESS
