Tranquil Ridge is a perfect spot for those that want to bring their swimsuits, kayaks, SUP boards, or canoes as it is located right by Fontana Lake. This lovely home is a secluded, hidden gem that is tucked away in the forest just outside of Bryson City.

Tranquil Ridge has two bedrooms, two baths, game room, and two large porches that span the entire length of the home. There's plenty of room for your family or group to relax and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature, whether you'd like to make a nice campfire in the rocked fireplace on the porch, relax in the porch rockers, enjoy a nice hot meal at the outdoor dining area, or take a relaxing dip in the hot tub - the choice is yours.

Indoors is just as inviting. The home has two levels, both of which have ample space for your and your guests. The entry of the home is on the upper level. On this level you will find a nice living area with comfortable seating, flat screen with satellite service, fireplace, and the fully stocked kitchen with ample dining space. There is also a bedroom on this level with queen sized bed, flatscreen tv with satellite service, ensuite bath with tub/shower combo, and the laundry closet with stacked washer/dryer. Downstairs you will find the game room with pool table, dart board, futon for relaxing or extra sleeping space, and flatscreen tv. Just off the gathering area, you will find the spacious master suite which features a king sized bed, reading nook, flatscreen with satellite service, and private master bath.

This private little getaway is located just minutes from downtown Bryson City and close to all the area has to offer. Within a ten minute drive, you can enjoy whitewater rafting, kayaking, ziplinging, and horseback riding in the Nantahala River Gorge, you can enjoy a day of hiking or mountain biking on the Tsali Biking Trails, and a variety of outdoor lake activities as it is located less than a mile from Fontana Lake. It is also convenient for those looking to ride The Polar Express on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, enjoy nightlife at Harrah's Cherokee Casino, and those looking to enjoy local restaurants and breweries.

Perfect floor plan

The cabin was exactly as described with the floor plan being perfect for two couples. It was fun to have the game room but the pool table needs to be repaired. Everyone did enjoy the darts though. The outside fireplace is great. So much better than a fire pit.

Perfect seclusion

The property was as advertised. Tucked away in the mountain next to a small river. The driveway is steep but our rear wheel drive truck did fine. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. We were very pleased with the cabin and property!

Somewhat disappointed

We stayed at the cabin 4 days and found not as clean as I would have liked. There were crumbs in the corners and I would Highly recommend cleaning the fireplace screen. It is absolutely filthy with dust caked all over it. When you sat on the couch it felt like you were sitting on a slide. The WORST thing is that there was not enough water pressure in the downstairs bathroom to water a plant, not to mention take a bath. The cabin is very secluded and not easy to get to. I would highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. On the positive side, the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals.

VERY HIDDEN GEM WITH LAKE VIEW IN DISTANCE. SURPRISED BY HOW EVERYTHING JUST SEEMED TO SAY "TRANQUIL". WRAP AROUND DECK WITH AMPLE ROCKING CHAIRS, TABLE AND CHAIRS FOR OUTDOOR MEALS, OUTSIDE FIREPLACE WAS A HIT! CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK (AS A FELLOW OWNER) 1) IMPROVE WIFI, PERHAPS WIFI EXTENDERS 2) LET RENTERS KNOW AHEAD OF TIME YOU HAVE A BROKEN ICE MAKER. PROVIDE ICE TRAYS 3) PROVIDE CLOTHES HANGERS 4) SCREEN ON OUTSIDE FIREPLACE NEEDS REPLACING 5) ALERT RENTERS TO STEEP WASHED OUT DRIVEWAY...NOT AN ISSUE FOR US WE HAD TWO 4X4 TRUCKS..PERHAPS ADD GRAVEL SO LOW RIDING CARS ARE NOT STUCK.
