Mid-century Modern Home on the Hill - Stunning Sunsets

This 3 bedroom 2 bath home on the hill does not disappoint. Located on a corner lot in a wonderful quiet neighborhood toward the top of Thorn Hill w/ a park just a half block away, stunning sunsets, 2 ovens if you're into cooking a feast, play area for kiddos & free weights to workout in partially finished basement, closet stocked w/ board games, high chair, pack n play and more! There's also a nice patio area w/ a fire pit, BBQ, folding chairs and small tables for your outdoor enjoyment.
Please note, for security purposes, there are 3 Ring video surveillance cameras on the property, all outside of the home; 1 at the front door, 1 over the garage facing the driveway & 1 outside the side entry door under the breezeway.
Colfax is a wonderful, small & historic town w/thrift, antique & specialty shops on the main drag, just 25min from WSU, 35min from U of I in Moscow, & an hour from Spokane. The surrounding Palouse is a photographers dream and Kamiak Butte is also just a short drive away. This location is perfect for the family/friends getaway anytime of year!

Really Unfortunate Experience

We didn’t even stay at the property. We got there and walked in the door to a stale, musty smell with the faint scent of cigarettes and mold. The sheets were stained, there was a hair on the sheets in the master bed, dead bugs on the windowsill, and a stained mattress on the pull out. The basement was unfinished and lots of cobwebs. The bed pictured in the photos was not made - just a comforter thrown over the mattress. We called Gabrielle only to be met with extreme defensiveness. We sent her photos of what we were disappointed with. She then told us the basement was not part of the listing - even though it clearly states it is and is shown in the pictures. She said we shouldn’t expect perfection - it was an old house. She said she would send the cleaners back, but we felt like we couldn’t stay - plus the number of beds was misrepresented. She did not give us our money back and told us we had to contact VRBO for that. I would not recommend staying at this property.

Functional Property

Acceptable to good accommodation for 4-6 people, at a good price point. House and yard could use a little TLC. Very nice neighborhood and the park that is 1/2 block away is great for walking the dog. The "feel" is more "home sharing" than "vacation rental".

No Internet and television for the whole stay

The house was fine, except no curtain on the bathroom window, we hung a sheet in case anyone could see from the outside. Some towels were old, the towel had a big hole. Spent hours trying to get the internet and television working with no luck. No internet or television all weekend.
