To ensure convenience for all guests, the two parking spaces in front of the cottage, under the rose arbor, are reserved specifically for cottage guests. We kindly request that these spaces are left unblocked during your stay.

College Drop off
We wanted to get close to WWU and spend one last night with our daughter hanging out and playing games before leaving her at school. The house was perfect. Such a cool old farmhouse vibe. They have thought of every little detail.

Very nice !
We had a large family gathering from Florida and Hawaii. The house was a perfect fit for us. Plenty of room for everyone. The space was very nicely furnished. The pictures on the listing say it all. Beautifully and artistically decorated. The property was also perfect for us. Lots of outdoor space for the kids to play, a garden with seasonal fruit and herbs. Very quiet neighborhood. Amazing sunsets and star gazing. Bravo to the Hosts for really creating a cool and inviting environment.

Word weaver Drawn to magical places Listens for the Earth’s whispered secrets Loves setting a scene to enchant kindred spirits Thinks of life as an adventure, the course of which could be altered by a cupcake Currently Appreciating: The wild and raw energy of Bow, Washington, which is home to House Kinlands. It’s a place to remember yourself, for dreams to come true, and for awakenings to happen. Plant your feet on the mossy ground and open your hands. Find what scares you, close your eyes, and invite it in.

Why they chose this property

Central to the Skagit Valley, this is the perfect place if you’re wanting to explore the area's local attractions such as Samish Bay, Deception Pass, Oyster Dome Trail, Chuckanut Drive, Larrabee State Park and so much more (just ask us and we'll give you more recommendations!). Only a 25 min drive west to Anacortes and the San Juan Ferry. Go East towards downtown Mount Vernon, Burlington or head for adventure on the North Cascades Highway. North only 35 minutes to Bellingham and less than 2 hours gets you to base of the Mount Baker Ski Resort for world class skiing & snowboarding in the winter and hiking in the summer.

For those coming for nature and birdwatching, this is a great spot to see the birds year-round and bird migrations in the late fall and mid-spring. This valley is full of life from Herons, Bald Eagles, Gold Finch and Red Tail Hawks to coyotes, whales, alpacas, and horses. You'll also probably spot a rabbit, squirrel, or deer. We can’t wait to hear what you’ve been able to see. The Skagit Valley and beyond offers plenty of outdoor recreation including hiking, boating, biking, and all sorts of exploring. March & April are also great times to experience the massive fields of daffodils and Tulips with additional local events in April including the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, Skagit Farm, and Pint Roadshow.

Every Saturday starting April through October there are farmers markets nearby in Mount Vernon, Anacortes, La Conner and Bellingham. These markets have both locally grown foods and wares crafted by local artisans. In Mount Vernon there is a makers market one Sunday a month from April through October. Local events include the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in April, Race Week in Anacortes in June, the Highland Games in July, and Ski to Sea in Bellingham over Memorial Day weekend.
