About this property

Allen Cove Farm

To our ATV guests—we are a short 25 minute drive from both Royal Blue and Brimstone! We do not, however, have trail access to the ATV parks from our home. ATV's must be transported by trailer to the trailheads.

Allen Cove Farm is nestled on the banks of Buffalo Creek, and surrounded by acres of woodlands and meadows. Our family farm is a century old homestead in the foothills of East Tennessee that provides a look back to a simpler time, with modern amenities that guests have come to expect.
The space
Located in Scott County, known as the Adventure Capital of Tennessee and home to 20,000 acres of ATV trails, 140,000 acre wildlife management area and 125,000 acre recreation area, Allen Cove Farm is surrounded by parks and offers a wide variety of outdoor activities to keep you coming back again and again. Nearby attractions include: Big South Fork National Park, North Cumberland Wildlife Area, Daniel Boone National Forest, Pickett State Park, Frozen Head State Park, Historic Rugby, Windrock Park, Royal Blue and Brimstone Recreation Area- America's Top Off-Road Destinations. A short drive down the road, find the hustle and bustle of Knoxville, Tennessee, action-packed Pigeon Forge, and the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains- America's most visited National Park.
Guest access
The century old farmhouse is located in the center of the 300+ acre woodlands. Leading to the home is a private drive perfect for taking walks and riding bikes. Nearby are cool creeks for the kids to play and hunt for crawfish. Take a walk up the holler to view many varieties of plants and trees then find yourself on top of the mountain where a beautiful pond awaits for fishing (Please note: It is catch and release only). The property boundaries are described in detail in the Welcome Guide provided after checking in.
Other things to note
The farmhouse provides quaint accommodations with modern amenities such as Wifi, Cable TV and a ROKU for guests who have an account. Other amenities include a DVD player, towels, washcloths, bed linens, a Keurig single cup coffee machine & 42 cup coffee maker, full size refrigerator, full set of dishes and cookware, one large outdoor grill and an outdoor fire pit. There are two bathrooms but only one is equipped with a shower. The other is equipped with a tub. Guest rooms upstairs are equipped with window A/C units in the summer time and portable heaters in the winter. Central heat and air is supplied on the main level.

This home is lived in when not rented so guests will find a few personal items such as clothes and some food items throughtout the kitchen.

We are a working farm so depending on the season and the weather, we may have helpers working the hay on the surrounding property. We always let our guests know if or when our helpers will be on site.

Once you arrive, there is a Welcome Guide for our guests that includes information about the farm, the house and surrounding areas, as well as a bit of history. Please take time to read through this guide as it will answer many questions you may have (such as Wifi password, phone numbers, property boundaries, etc.)

Before your stay, you can also visit us on Face Book or Instagram @Allen Cove Farm where you can view more photos and videos of our farm!

Family Vacation
We stayed at the farmhouse for a short family vacation. We hiked in Big South Fork and also spent one day just hanging out on the property. If you are in to peace and quiet, the setting is spectacular. The farmhouse is exceptionally neat and has a lot of character. The host was very responsive, although our questions were already answered if we had looked in the guest book! Very wonderful time and would love to stay again

Awesome getaway
This is the most beautiful place! We loved our stay here and did not want to leave. We will definitely be a regular visitor as we have close family that live in the area and this property beats staying in a boring motel or hotel any day!
