Peace and tranquility, spectacular nighttime stars, and an enormous and stunning view of Flanders Bay, Cadillac Mountain and Bar Harbor, where lights twinkle in the evening. This accommodation is accessible to everything that DownEast Maine has to offer. Acadia National park, the Schoodic Penninsula, quaint, historic lobster fishing villages, kayaking, hiking, canoeing, lighthouses, restaurants, etc.
The camp is brand new, and boasts washer dryer, stovetop and microwave, coffee bar, etc. and porch furniture.
All furniture was bought new including the very comfortable sofa beds, allowing folks to house the entire family.

Fantastic stay at the Stargazer Cabin!

We had a fantastic time during our stay at the Stargazer Cabin. The location was great for us since we like to explore the area we are visiting, and we like it quiet when we are done for the day. There are so many art shops, coffee shops and restaurants along the road that we always ran out of time, and were never hungry. It was handy since Bar Harbor was under an hour away, Canada was around 2 hours away the opposite direction, and many wonderful sites in between. The cabin was very comfortable, clearly cared for and everything worked perfectly. There is a folder that lists many activities and restaurants with how many local folks recommend them that was very helpful. The screened in patio made it very easy to sit with a cup of coffee and watch a portion of the bay in the morning and the stars at night. The only downsides, it took a while to cool it down on warm days, and the pillows weren't to our liking, and both of those are a matter of personal preference. Overall, our stay was excellent and we would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. Thank you Marion and Pat for the incredible experience!

Nice new cabin

You won't find a nicer cabin than this. Brand new, nicely laid out, has all the indoor amenities you could want, owner is very friendly. Fifty minutes from Acadia, 25 minutes from Schoodic Point, so it's away from the hustle and bustle. Definitely better than advertised. On that basis we'll give it a 5. However, we found the setting to be somewhat disappointing, perhaps from our own unfamiliarity with the area. The cabin sits in the open next to a large house, with a highway nearby, so there is little feeling of seclusion and privacy. There is a good view of the stars from the front porch, but the view of the bay is marred by a large house and a couple of utility poles. All in all, this is a very good place from which to base your exploration of the area, just don't expect a secluded camp.
