About this property

Private Two Room Suite on a Magical Oceanfront Acre!

About this space
A private, quiet & sparkling clean set of rooms that open onto a private deck overlooking the ocean, located in a totally remodeled house on a parklike acre of land. And your hosts live next door if needed.

This charming and beautifully kept property has PANORAMIC VIEWS of ocean & miles of rugged coastline.

Guests also have access to a common area "Quiet Room" with amazing views for reading & meditation. (Library rules apply!)

Book these rooms now - and create a memory for a lifetime!
The space
This comfortable set of rooms has a separate private bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a 'sitting room' with a kitchenette and a private bathroom with a tiled shower and loads of extra towels. (Your hosts also provide a few extra blankets.)

The sitting room has a small dining table with a kitchenette.

The cupboards are stocked with great coffee and a large selection of top quality teas, plus makings for hot cocoa and hot cereals. A few fun snack treats are also provided, along with juices, small bottled waters, a small carton of fresh milk for your first morning, and more!

The suite has a stove top for light cooking. There is also a mini-refrigerator, a toaster and a microwave oven, along with a pour-over coffee making system.

The private, ensuite bathroom features a tiled shower and a few travel necessities such as toothpaste, dental floss & safety razors.

There is excellent Wi-Fi but no TV, so plan to relax, read or take your coffee out to sit on your deck to enjoy the breathtaking views; they include views of rocky outcroppings, sea stacks and sandy beaches all along the coast.

In the evening take a glass of wine, or a bottle to share, and watch from your deck as the sun sets below the horizon of the truly majestic Pacific Ocean.

When you get up in the morning put on one of the freshly laundered robes with slippers provided by your hosts and relax into your day.
Guest access
Guests have full access to everything in their suite, as well as the courtyard. They also have access to a common area "Quiet Room" from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Please note that, as in a library, NO TALKING AT ALL is allowed in the "Quiet Room" because:

. (1) The sound of conversations in the "Quiet Room", including whispers, carry into guest rooms adjacent to the "Quiet Room", and

. (2) Talking in the "Quiet Room', even in whispers, interferes with guests who may be reading reading or meditating.

Guest's right to quietly enjoy their privacy is absolutely respected at all times, so please honor those two rules.

Harris Beach State Park is just a short walk from the property (or a one minute drive) and the sandy beaches, tide pools and rugged coastline there make it delightful to explore.

The magnificent driftwood covered beach at the harbor is just five minutes away, and its only a short drive to scenic rivers & giant redwoods.

Also:
*If your car leaks oil or other fluids please park in the gravel area in front of the house. *Your hosts love them, but pets and service animals are not allowed due to allergies. *Guests are required to sign a disclaimer/ liability release on arrival due to the property being located on a cliff above the ocean - thanks for understanding.
Other things to note
Your hosts are in the process of building an exterior wall along the road, with gated access. That construction is well removed from your suite. This note will be removed when the wall is completed - so if you reading this there is still a bit of construction going on.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS – by Barbara

Patrick and I own the property next door to this house. We use part of it to run a little BnB business, and that has turned out to be fun! One reason we enjoy running a BnB as a small business is that we seem to consistently attract wonderfully kind and delightful guests.

So when our neighbor put this house up for sale in 2022 we bought it and remodeled it to make another BnB. We added new tiled showers, granite countertops, new redwood decks and a lot more.

Our objective was to create a magical space where people can come to relax in quiet comfort with stunning ocean views. And we did. :)

Thank you for considering our BnB for your stay here in Brookings. Patrick and I wish you safe travels, whether you stay with us or not, and an enjoyable visit to our delightful little town!

s/Barbara :)

PS.

1. No one has better coastal views - not even us next door

2. Best price/value - nothing comparable at this price

3. We always treat people the way we would want to be treated

This was a beautiful property located on a gorgeous stretch of the Oregon coast. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. We loved the ease of access to beautiful beaches and redwood forests. We would definitely come back and use this property again.

Sisters trip
This property is spectacular if your looking for a tranquil setting. The view is one of the best I've seen on the Oregon coast. Communication was very good with the owners and both of them are very pleasant. The unit is well stocked with essentials and lots of extra things. We had a very nice stay at this vacation rental.

Awesome view
View is amazing, and the rental had what we needed for our 2 night stay. We’d planned to do laundry at this leg of our trip, and the owners helped us out. Much appreciated. They are still working on the grounds and privacy was an issue at times, but it looked like that would be done pretty soon. We were not interested in the “quiet room”, but rather more with our own suite and view of the ocean. Brookings is a great town to enjoy the beautiful beaches and hiking. We highly recommend driving the Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor and venturing out on several of the short hikes out to the glorious views. We ate at Poncho’s (good!) and The Hungry Clam ( super fresh seafood). Great place to visit!
