About this property

3-bedroom ocean-view home, walk to beach

This spectacular home has sweeping north-easterly ocean views over Manly Beach. Spacious, bright, airy and with a naturally light filled layout. The interior design is elegant period detailing, stylish modern updates and contemporary furniture. There are ocean views from all living and kitchen areas and the grand terrace. It is only a 4 minute walk to the world famous Manly Beach and a 6 minute stroll to the heart of Manly Village, with its famous 5-star cafés, bars and restaurants and shops, and just a short ferry ride from the Sydney CBD.

This home has grace, space and views – with three bedrooms, three living areas, a huge kitchen with breakfast bar, 2.5 bathrooms, a private garage, an ocean-view balcony and two private entrances that allow living on one level. Guests can also use communal garden, which looks out over the greenbelt below.

Walk through the front entrance and up the opulent staircase to the formal living and dining areas. Open the arch doors to let the sunshine and gentle breeze flow through the house. No matter how hot the weather is, there is a near constant sea breeze that cools the house in summer.

Enjoy lingering over breakfast on the balcony listening to the birdlife and check the waves for surfing, or kick back on the sofa to watch the sun set behind the bay in the late afternoon while you fire up the Napoleon 5-burner BBQ and listen to the Sonos music system.

A beautifully decorated master bedroom offers a queen bed with quality linens and a wall of cupboards to hang your clothes. Adjoined is an ensuite bathroom that includes all of the bathroom essentials, with fresh towels, a hair dryer, shampoo and soap. The other two bedrooms have ample wardrobe space and desks to work at, while a separate and cozy TV room has a Smart TV.

The kitchen is huge and well equipped with cooking utensils, pots & pans, serving ware, cutlery, and includes a fridge, electric fan forced oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and a Nespresso machine. A breakfast bar is a natural stopping place to catch up after a busy day.

Guests have access to all areas of the property -- there is a private lockup garage with one parking space available for guests at the rear of the property as well as a private door at the front of the residence where you can walk through the garden and down to the beach.

There is a near constant breeze throughout the home, plus there are ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms. There is also a portable designer floor fan included with the property: Licence number PID-STRA-47821

Beautiful apartment
This is a beautiful, well appointed apartment in a quiet part of Manly. The property was super clean when we arrived. The house guide was very detailed and informative. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the towels white and fluffy. It would be even better with awnings on the balcony for sunny weather. The review would have been 5 star if there hadn't been a problem with keys and access which disrupted our holiday. One day we were shut out of the property. There were meant to be two sets of keys but we had to manage with one, and the remote control for the outer door failed. The owner responded quickly and problems were mostly resolved.

Marianne is from New Zealand and Stephen is from Australia, having grown up across the harbour in Bondi Beach. We have 3 children. We love beachside living, surfing, swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding, sailing, golf and tennis, walking, hiking, eating out, cooking and entertaining friends and family.

Why they chose this property

We love our Manly home because of its access to Manly Beach for surfing, Shelly Beach for swimming and snorkelling, and the nearby harbour beaches of Little Manly Beach and Little Collins Beach for paddle-boarding and jumping off rocks. We also love the sports facilities in and around Manly including golf courses, tennis courts, bicycle paths and wonderful beach, harbour and North Head walking trails. Of course, we love neighbourhood living and our home is walking distance to endless shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, plus a wonderful ferry ride into the Sydney CBD with stunning views of Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, especially at night.
