About this property

Imagine experiencing a Minnesota sunrise while hearing the iconic call of loons echoing across the misty water. At Pine Haven Cottage, you’ll find good fishing, beautiful views, and a private lake lot to relax at. It's great for a weekend get-away, or for a full week in the north woods.
The lake is 778 acres, and has two islands that are favorite fishing spots for anglers. If you like catching northern pike, bass, or pan fish, you'll not be disappointed. The sandy lake-bottom makes for fun swimming activities, and there is a sandbar near the small island, which is a popular spot for boaters. Bring your own watercraft for boating fun; onsite, there is a canoe to use.
We have an RV camper hook-up available; inquire about special pricing to include this option in your booking.
There is lots to do on the lake and in the area. The Fall colors are incredible; you won't want to miss them.

Perfect

I was looking for a cozy place to relax a few days and this property was perfect! The weather wasn’t so nice that I took advantage of the canoe or paddle boat but they would be fun to use sometime too. The communication with the owner was great. I felt comfortable throughout my stay. I would whole-heartedly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away and find some peace and quiet.

My husband and his buddies stayed here and really enjoyed the stay. Lakeview was awesome. They said the amenities were everything they needed.

Nice place by lake

Great communication, very accommodating. This was a cozy place by lake - we really enjoyed the sauna. House was clean and had everything you would need. Not a busy lake, and a canoe was available to use which was nice since we decided not to bring our boat this trip even though a nice dock was available.

We love the outdoors, whether it is the north woods of Minnesota, or the pines of Colorado's mountains. And we love being by water. That is why we love this place--it combines all the fun and quiet of the lake with the wilderness of Minnesota's north land.

Why they chose this property

The cabin is situated closer to the lake than most other cabins or houses. Sitting on the deck in the early hours of morning, waiting for the iconic call of loons, is one of my favorite things.

What makes this property unique

We love the classic lake cabin feel of Pine Haven. Sand Lake has good fishing, and in most instances, you will not be competing with lots of boat traffic. We have an RV camper hook-up. Inquire about special pricing if you wanted to bring one during your booking. Experiencing the wood-heated sauna (the way saunas all used to be!) and then cooling off in the lake is a real treat.
