Would not stay here again
We were excited to stay in the Emerald Grande because we had heard such great things about the resort. This place isn't run by the resort, has a property manager and the front desk doesn't handle anything other than giving a key and towels and checking in.
Pros: We arrived early from our flight and the property manager let us check in an hour early.
Bars/food was great
Cons:
-Pool was being repaired and was closed
-Construction was being done on the outside of the building. Men looking in our room and ropes hanging from the top of the building so our view was blocked from all 3 areas. This was not our idea of a vacation. For the price, we asked for a partial refund and never heard back from the property manager.
-We were getting ready after a long day traveling and sat on the side of the kbed and it broke to the ground in the front. Property manager was unresponsive for that too. We had to put pots under the bed to lift the mattress as it was tilting towards the head. After messing with this bed, I sat on the other side to go to sleep and that side then broke at the head. Spent more time trying to fix that side too.
We should have known when there was only 1 review for this property and of course it was 5 stars.
The next day we begged the front desk to help us and they said it would have to be minor fix or they couldn't help us. They did a great job, they said the bed was not in good shape and they had to buy stuff to fix it.
-Lighting was really bad at night.
