Charming shotgun-style home in the heart of Historic Downtown Madison! Enjoy this recently remodeled home in the historic district. The grand fireplace in the center of the home leaves no room for desire- absolutely stunning feature, and it is completely functional! New updates throughout the home, but plenty of charm and originality. Great location! Just one block away from Madison's Main Street with local coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, the Ohio River walking path, and local events. Reserve it while you can!
*Unfortunately, our fireplace is not fully functional as of now but will be back up and running in no time!*

Adorable house

We just stayed one night but it was perfect for our family of 5! Walking distance to downtown Madison and close to Hanover College! We would definitely stay here again! The owners left snacks and a wonderful thoughtful basket with bathroom items you might need or have forgotten!

two days turned into three

Stayed at this house, just off of Main and not far from the courthouse for the second April in a row. From our looking around, this is got to be the best short-term rental in all of Madison. It’s a short walk to everything, and Madison has great places like Red on Main, Mad Love, Off Broadway Taproom, and more. We felt lucky to be able to add a day to hours stay.

Perfect

They had everything we needed with a perfect location. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, and winery. It was a very short drive to Clifty Falls. Home was comfortable and very spacious.

Annual winter Madison weekend get away!

New Owners

i had to buy a frying pan and there was no tiolet paper. ran out of coffee, no big deal, but the prior owners had it all stocked up, really well. i expected the same but that was not the case. overall i have no issues, the front door used to automatically lock after 30 seconds or so. slept with one night door unlocked.

Fall Getaway

House was clean and well stocked for guests. Close to downtown activities. Kitchen was well stocked for use! We were able to have family over for a family dinner and sit six adults at the table for dinner without any problems. Thanks for a great weekend!

Grand Fireplace House

We liked the house very much. The house was furnished nicely and was very clean. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and down to the river. I would stay there again.

Charming

Easy access, clean, comfortable beds, peaceful. Definitely would stay again. Stew sent information giving even suggestions for dinner and shops- this was very helpful and we used it while in town. We will be back!

Great rental!

We spent the weekend in Madison for Hanover graduation. This rental provided our family everything we needed and more! The kitchen had paper towels, coffee, tea and even fresh baked cookies to welcome us! The bathrooms were well stocked as well. We were able to just unpack and enjoy. Check in and check out were easy. Great communication from owner and housekeeping. Woukd definitely stay again!! Thank you!

Adorable Home with Unique Features

We loved our stay here!! One of the cleanest VRBO houses when we arrived. 2 spacious bedrooms with king beds. The double sided fireplace is so cute and the vaulted wooded beams at top are gorgeous. Only a 1-2 block walk from downtown shops/main street in Madison. Easy parking provided behind house. My mom uses a walker and this house was very nice for her. Just one step into side door to enter house...house is spacious for walker, main bedroom and main bath both of main level and roomy!! Well equipped home and appreciate the little touches. Will stay again!!

Just Perfect!

We had a 3 night stay in Madison and this was the perfect location. We walked to just about everything except the state park. The house was very clean and everything you could possibly need was provided. If we are ever back in the Madison area, we would absolutely look into staying here again.

Clean and Comfy

House is nicely decorated and very comfortable. The beds were a dream. The layout with 2 en suite bedrooms, each on a separate floor, plus the 1/2 bath provided privacy when we wanted it. The living dining area was perfect for spending time together. We would definitely choose this property again if we are ever in the area,

Lost tv and internet the second day we were there. Did communicate with owner and he checked and found out the provider had a fire and service would be restored later that day

Charming Cottage on Banks of Ohio River

This house was absolutely perfect for a getaway with my mother. She grew up not far from Madison and the house was in a great central location to visit Clifty Falls State Park and the covered bridge at Versailles. The beds slept great, and my mother was in love with the beautiful fireplace. The kitchen was incredible, and I loved the butcher block to prepare meals. The owners thought of everything, and we truly enjoyed our time in Madison!

Sweet Place!

We enjoyed our stay immensely! The house was decorated Beautifully, and equipped with anything you needed! It was located perfectly to to do some shopping downtown, see the Broadway fountain, went to tour Lanier Mansion, spent a day at Clifty Falls, or take a walk down by the river! We would Love to come back and spend some more time in your Beautiful home!
