The bathroom has a luxurious walk-in shower and complete with upscale washer/dryer facilities, hairdryer, and essential toiletries.

There is a comfortable living area with a sofa and TV and a dining table that seats four guests.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, a dishwasher, a kettle, toaster, a stove for two pots, a french press to make coffee and a Nespresso coffee maker. It is also equipped with some basic supplies such as coffee, tea and sugar.

The apartment is set to fill all your needs while traveling. The house is one of the oldest and most historic houses in the city and has been carefully restored over the past decade by the owners.

All the best restaurants are within 2-10 min walking distance. There are lots of attractions in a short walking distance and only a few steps and you are on Laugarvegur, the main shopping street in Reykjavik, with it’s buzzing cafes, shops and restaurants, and Skólavörðustígur, with art galleries and nice little shops. The house is very close to Harpa conference center, the harbor, the cathedral and the city pond.

Our street, Bókhlöðustígur, is a beautiful part of the old town. The houses were built in the 18th century (our house was built in 1887) and most of them have been renovated. The house has been carefully renovated and received an award in 2019 for outstanding renovation and preservation from the mayor of Reykjavik.

The ground floor of the house - where the apartment is located - was built from leftover stone that was used to build the parliament and the house itself was built with wood from the infamous ship Jamestown that ran aground in Iceland in 1881.

Guests have access to the entire apartment without sharing amenities. Everything within the apartment is private and for you to use at your convenience.

Instructions for self-check-in with the lock-box will be shared prior to your arrival for smooth access.

Paid parking is available in the immediate vicinity, making your travel remarkably convenient. Please remember that weekdays from 8AM-9PM and weekends from 9AM-9PM are paid parking hours.
