The dining room table is a great spot to gather around and enjoy a cocktail while planning an evening out— or staying in and playing board games with the kiddos. The living room in the house is the perfect setting with colorful decor and two soft cozy couches to sink into. Turn on the 50 inch TV to watch the big game or enter your account info to stream your favorite show. Up the stairs to the beautifully decorated bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Fall into one of the glorious king beds and surround yourself with comfort. Another bedroom also awaits with a single bed attached to the 2nd floor bathroom. For the 6th & 7th guest a pull out queen sofa is located on the first floor. Please note that this is the city with all it’s wonder and diversity. There is constant revitalization taking place in the neighborhood. The location is a multi-cultural mixed income neighborhood. Please do not book if you are uncomfortable with that. This house is not for folks with mobility challenges. The cultural district, Mt. Washington and the Strip District are an UBER ride away. For us COMMUNICATION is key to a hassle free stay. According to the Northside Chronicle, Northside is one of the most historical districts in the city. Home to a free three day music festival that takes place in July and features hundreds of bands. The Allegheny Commons park is Pittsburgh's oldest park---- known for its mature canopy trees and lovely Lake Elizabeth, it is within walking distance from Loraine Street. Max's Tavern is an authentic German no frills restaurant with a great little bar and cozy booths. If you are looking for something a little more fancy, Fig and Ash on East Ohio street is the place to be. Delicious home-away-from-dishes led by one of Pittsburgh's top chefs. Siempre Algo also on East Ohio Street is a cozy romantic spot with vegetarian options and delicious desserts. However, please remember to make a reservation so you can enjoy these unique places. . Don't miss Yinz Coffee on East North avenue and Commonplace Coffee on Buena Vista right next to Randyland on Arch street. Randyland is a magical experience and not to be missed-- guarantee you have never been to a place like this before. 412 APoTHECA on Federal Street will delight your senses ---featuring a curated selection of bath, body & hair products as well as small gifts centered around self care. The Andy Warhol Museum, The Mattress factory, Children's Museum, Alphabet City, downtown, North Shore, Heinz Field and PNC park are all within walking distance. What makes Northside so unique is it’s cultural diversity from starving artists to young professionals and neighbors that have lived and worked in Northside for decades—excitement is in the air in this thriving community. This is the city and not the suburbs and a reminder, you will see and hear the hospital's helicopter....which adds to the richness of the neighborhood. The kiddos will love it. Walk, UBER or LYFT. Pittsburgh Light Rail Transit known as the "T" is free into downtown and the Monongahela Incline. Allegheny Station is on the North Shore (22 min walk). Free scooter hubs located throughout the city. Pittsburgh is notorious for confusing directions---but no complaints about traffic. Your best bet though is to leave your vehicle behind to avoid confusing directions—-even from your navigation. ➲Please note that Allegheny General Hospital is located directly across the street from our lovely home. You will see and hear the hospitals Medevac helicopter from time to time. Please do not book if you are uncomfortable with that. ➲The area is up and coming and you will see many houses being renovated. And, like any city, you will see some houses that are in disrepair. The North Side has been flourishing in the past several years as you can tell by the renovation taking place at the Garden Theater—originally built in 1915. ➲The location is a multi-cultural mixed income neighborhood. Please do not rent if you’re not comfortable with that. ➲Please note while exploring the neighborhood, you may encounter some of our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness. We encourage guests to approach this with empathy and understanding.
