About this property
Villa Mayflower - Classic tropical style beside the sea
Taking its name from one of the best-known sailing vessels in history, Villa Mayflower (MAY) is inspired by the ideas of travel, discovery, history, and the marriage of the old and new worlds. The newly renovated luxury rental property in Marigot has a St. Barth–style tropical vibe, abundant sunlight, pastel colors, lots of greenery, and Caribbean architecture and style. The layout allows for ample airflow.
Villa Mayflower is decorated with antique furniture from the islands and France. Its main materials are sumptuous and natural: linen, velvet, wood, stone, and other natural elements. The half-acre plot on which it sits is currently being transformed into a tropical garden, and it has a spectacular view of the sea and the Bay of Marigot.
The beach of Marigot can be reached on foot, and several good restaurants and hotels are very nearby. A large parking area makes it easy to come and go.
The villa has a contemporary, open-plan living area and kitchen. This has comfortable sofas, a Frame TV and Sonos sound system, and a fully equipped traditional kitchen. A highlight in the kitchen is the reverse-osmosis water filtering system, which eliminates the need for plastic bottles. The space can be opened on two sides, allowing for island breezes and a closer connection with the greenery in the back and the views in the front.
The three bedrooms are equal in size and have ensuite bathrooms. Two of them are on opposite sides of the living quarters, and the third is downstairs and has a separate entrance from outside. The upstairs rooms have king-size four-poster beds with nets for a truly Caribbean feeling, and the downstairs room has a European king-size bed. All of the bedrooms and even their bathrooms have sea views, as well as air-conditioning and screened windows for those who prefer to sleep in the fresh air.
In front of the villa is a terrace with a heated pool, a covered dining area with a table that seats six (and can be expanded for up to ten), a large deck for lounging and socializing, a gas grill, and a covered gazebo. Each bedroom also has its own outdoor area for solo relaxation.
