Restful paradise
Casa del Rio is phenomenal. The pictures do not do it justice. The common spaces are comfortable, and each bedroom has a full bathroom, and the bedrooms are, moreover, away from each other, so a big group (we were 11) can have privacy. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained, the pool likewise, and the view is incredible. Add to that a lovely breeze and beach, and it's paradise. But the best part of our stay was the staff, who took care of us and fed us the best Caribbean food ever. They made our vacation perfect and perfectly restful.
The property is next to a public beach, separated by the river (really a creek), which people come to swim and bathe in. Also, at times they played a lot of music. We were fine with that, but some people might not be. Most of the time, however, the beach was empty, and the waves were great for our kids. The beach was clean, the seawater warm, the river was clear, cooler, and refreshing. Phenomenal property.
