About this property

Relax on the Screened Porch or Enjoy the Nearby Area Attractions

Relax in a quiet, small South Georgia town on the tidal Satilla River near the Atlantic coast. Built in 1950, this three-bedroom ranch-style brick house with hardwood floors and a screened-in porch is ideal for artists, writers, couples, or for families vacationing just inland from the beaches. The house is fully furnished, has a fully equipped kitchen, and 2 full bathrooms. Your family will enjoy relaxing on the screened in porch or outside on the brick patio. The house has a large yard, perfect for kids to run around and play. The property also has a one car garage, as well as plenty of room on the driveway to park a boat or trailer. The Golden Isles of Jekyll, St. Simons, and Cumberland are only minutes away. Daily ferries cruise the open waters of the mouth of the St. Marys River for 45 minutes to Cumberland Island where you may visit the historic homes of the renowned Carnegie families and relax on one of the most pristine beaches on the Atlantic. Catch the ferry from St. Marys, the second oldest town in America, just minutes from Woodbine.
Woodbine is just 35-40 minutes north of the Jacksonville, FL International Airport; 15 minutes from Kingsland, GA; 45 miles from Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach, FL; 90 miles south of historic Savannah, GA; 30 miles from the Okefenokee Swamp in Folkston, GA. In addition to the three locally-owned restaurants in Woodbine, there are many dining options in nearby Kingsland, Brunswick, St. Simons, Fernandina, and St. Marys.
Woodbine has an acclaimed nature trail running through the center of town to a riverwalk along the Satilla River, which features a public dock and a boat ramp. The nature trail is open to bicycles as well as to pedestrians. The house is only four blocks from the trail where you can enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the river.

Great long term stay
Perfect fit for our long term summer stay. We loved the quiet neighborhood, big yard, and very cute decor. The house was clean and was equipped with everything we could need. Owner was very responsive and quick to address anything I reached out about during our time. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy and taken care of. We would definitely recommend this stay!

Another great stay
We can’t say enough good things about this house. The vintage charm is dreamy. So is the outdoor setting.

What a gem
This is our second stay in this sweet house. It is the essence of vintage charm. We love it. Our friends who came along this trip loved it as well. We hope it will be our annual spot when in Woodbine.

Nothing has been updated and little repaired since the 70’s
If you’re choosing this property, buckle your seatbelt, because you’re about to take a time wrap travel experience that you won’t believe. You open the door and are swept back to a time long ago. About 48 years, to be more exact. Everything in this home is straight out of the 70’s. Almost nothing has been updated or replaced in a very long time. The kitchen is tremendously I’ll equipped and the items that are provided are in poor condition. The electric outlets are two pronged, with one exception, do leave your technology at home. We could write a book about this stay… A professional deep cleaning is much needed for the entire home. The linens and bedding are newish, but that’s about all. This rental met our most basic needs, but that is all. The kitchen is terribly ill equipped and the existing items are in extremely poor condition.

My mother and dad built this family home in 1950. They lived here the remainder of their lives. I have changed some furnishings, but kept much of the home as it was when I inherited it in 2005.

What makes this property unique
