Great house in gorgeous location
Our family of four was very, very comfortable in this large house in a gorgeous location. The location is beautiful, and very convenient to the things we wanted to see and do on the west side of Tucson. This is about as close as houses can be to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park (west). Downtown Tucson is maybe 10-15 minute drive. Grocery stores etc are maybe 5-10 mins. We loved waking up and looking out at the desert mountain scenery. We saw gorgeous sunsets and we could gaze at the stars from the comfortable backyard. The beds were very good. The kitchen was well-stocked. The owner has made an effort to make the house feel comfortable for guests. It wasn't just a place we slept in and wanted to get out of for the day. The back yard has a small pool and is nicely landscaped so that it was a pleasant place to sit on the patio and have a cup of coffee in the morning, listening to the burbling fountain and the desert birds. Denise was quick to answer any questions we had, and she checked in with us a couple of times during the stay to make sure everything was fine. Check-in was a breeze, the hardest part was finding the correct driveway in the desert darkness when we arrived on the late side. Be careful with GPS directions; obey signs that tell you where you can't go or can't turn, it's for your own safety even if it's not immediately obvious why! We would absolutely stay here again if we go back to Tucson.

Perfect Hideaway in European Winter
We stayed in this comfortable villa for about two weeks in March and enjoyed the calm neighborhood, the beautiful views to the hills full of Saguaros, and the garden, an oasis offering shade and a pool. The villa is an excellent starting point for exploring the many attractions of and around Tucson, both close to nature and to the city. The hosts were supporting and friendly to a degree we have rarely experienced. In sum: We had a great time !

I was raised in Southern AZ and I consider myself a Tucson native. My husband and I love to travel with our 3 children. They love surfing in Southern California, Costa Rica and Hawaii while I enjoy a book by the beach. Having spent so much time in other cities, I can appreciate life in The Old Pueblo, Tucson. It is a little gem and almost everyone who comes in to town falls in love. I want my guests to feel and be treated like I would want to when checking in to a property. I am always available by text or phone call.

Why they chose this property

The Tucson Mountains are Tucson's best kept secret. They are far enough to feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle of the town, yet only 20 minutes away from downtown. We are surrounded by majestic saguaros and gorgeous mountains. You can watch the Catalina Mountains from the backyard turn different colors at sunset. Everyday gifts a different color. Some days they turn pink, others blue, and sometimes even a light purple. Mercado San Agustin is 13 minutes away, Sonoran Desert Museum is 16 minutes away, Old Tucson Studios is 11 minutes away.

What makes this property unique

This is a custom home nestled in 2 acres on a hilltop lot, you have views of the Catalina and Tucson Mountains. It is a quiet neighborhood.
