Relaxing and picturesque location
Very relaxing and enjoyable in a picturesque location. Just as advertised on VRBO and just what the doctor ordered for me and my 3 sons for a weekend of fly fishing, golf and catching up.

Best VRBO host + great property
Tom's home was lovely and his responsiveness was top notch. Booking, check in was great - I had a change in dates and Tom was terrific. We also had a mechanical problem and were so impressed how quickly Tom and his repair person were there to solve the problem. Tom's home and property are pristinely maintained and amenities are remarkable. We certainly plan to stay at Tom's home again.

Peace and Quiet
We came looking for peace and a place to unplug, we found it. The house is clean the family room is inviting with a beautiful view of the river. The kitchen is amazing, well equipped and ready for any dish you want to cook. We enjoyed walking the grounds, bonfires in the yard, fishing and kayaking the North Branch of the Ausable river. Tom was easy to correspond with and very accommodating. Our friends have already booked the house and we are planning our return.

"Many men go fishing all their lives without knowing it is not fish they are after." Henry David Thoreau.

I spent six years in the Marine Corps and over two decades since as a career prosecutor. And I've learned a few things along the way. First, trust in God. Second, find a good woman and love her fiercely. I lost that woman -- my wife -- to cancer shortly after we bought and restored this cabin in hopes of retiring here and growing old together. But, during her battle with cancer, we decided to share this place with military veterans and law enforcement officers, who took tremendous care of the cabin and the land. And, in hindsight, I learned that they needed that time away every bit as much as my wife and I did. So I want to share my wife's plan with others who need some Peace.
