Lovely condo, tastefully decorated. Window A/C in each bedroom with ceiling fans throughout. Updated modern kitchen with granite countertops and bathrooms renovated in 2018. Wi-Fi with flat screen TV's in both living room and master bedroom. Queen bed in master bedroom and in downstairs bedroom and two twins in the loft. Idea for family of 6. Spacious and comfortable right across from pool and barbeque area. Beautiful sunset views from lanai. Free parking close by. All towels and linens are provided.

Welcome to Kuilima Estates, the condo property located on the grounds of world-renowned Turtle Bay. The condos are surrounded by two beautifully manicured golf courses and are the only condos on the North Shore. This is a great place to relax, rewind, and restore, and a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The condo property is a short walk to the hotel and to a lovely, sheltered, coved beach, where you can swim, snorkel, and surf. We have our pools, with lounge chairs, an outdoor shower, and charcoal BBQ grills. Bring your own equipment and play tennis on our courts at no charge. Experience the comforts of home as you experience aloha!

Fantastic location

The location is great- on the course and close to the pool. The furnishings are very dated as you can tell from the listing. The unit has more wear than I was prepared for - and given the premium price, I expected more, I would be mindful of this. The check in was easy. I think having beach chairs is a reasonable assumption but we couldn’t find any.

North Shore Paradise

We stayed here for our family’s first visit to Hawaii and could not have been happier. The condo was beautiful and perfect for our needs as we wanted to be able to cook some of our meals during our stay to be able to save a bit on meal costs. The kitchen and cooking appliances were useable and everything we needed was provided. We also were able to do laundry which kept us ready to explore and play each day. The facilities at the resort are beautiful, we loved the pools, gardens, gheckos, and pickleball. We had an evening family pool party one of the evenings where we grilled at the pool and had the pool closest to our condo to ourselves and our kids used the pools to practice snorkeling to prepare for a day at Sharks Cove. The staff was very helpful but allowed privacy and the neighboring tenants were very quiet, keeping the experience serene and restful. We highly recommend this resort and can’t wait to return.

Felt like home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at the Alea! The resort is beautiful and we loved walking across the golf course to watch the sunset at the beach. The kitchen was decently stocked with everything you need to cook. We really liked having 2 full bathrooms and a washer and dryer. Our only complaint is that the loft got very warm for our two younger kids. Ifthe trade winds weren't blowing, it was very uncomfortable as they were trying to sleep. We definitely recent this property! And if you get it chance, make sure to check out the organic shave ice place that is across the highway from the entrance to Turtle Bay. It was our favorite!

Not what you deserve for the price

Reviewer Comments: I recently stayed at a vacation rental in what was advertised as Kuilima Estates East, only to find out it was actually located in Kuilima Estates West.The general location map showes it on the west side of Kuilima Dr. Kuilima East is much more acessable to the beach, thats why we prefer to stay there. Throughout our stay, we encountered numerous disappointments that made the price we paid feel exorbitant.Firstly, the pool, was closed six out of the seven days we were there. This lack of access to a promised amenity greatly hindered our enjoyment.Upon entering the property, we were greeted with an unpleasant surprise – nails protruding from the rug, posing a safety hazard. It was clear that cleanliness and maintenance were not priorities, as evidenced by the broken screen and damaged appliances scattered throughout the condo.Furthermore, the state of cleanliness was appalling. Sand, hair, and stains littered the surfaces, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning between guests. It was disheartening to feel like we had stepped into someone else's mess rather than a professionally managed vacation rental.Overall, our experience fell far short of our expectations, leaving us feeling cheated out of our hard-earned money. The combination of misleading advertising, lack of amenities, and poor cleanliness makes it impossible for me to recommend this property to others. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for your vacation accommodations.

great place to stay! Condo could use a little updating, such as fresh paint, a new rug and new couch. But it was clean and enjoyed our time there. Loved having the golf course out the back, the pool so close and the beach within walking distance! Would stay here again

Rental agreement says it will be refunded 2-3 days after the stay.

The condo was very clean and in an excellent location- one pool was right outside our door and the beach, golf course, and stables were all within short walking distances. We loved going for walks in the evening to Lei Lei’s restaurant at the golf course for drinks and dessert! The North Shore area is fabulous and we much preferred it to the few days we spent in the Honolulu area. There is so much to see and do around the North Shore! A few things we’d suggest the owners attend to: a better mattress in upstairs bedroom (it was pretty tough to sleep comfortably when you’re both rolling inward!), an arrival supply of coffee would have been appreciated for that first morning after a very late arrival the night before, the furniture on the lanai was terrible to sit on-please upgrade!! Generally this unit could use a little TLC- a new paint job would definitely spruce it up. There were beach towels, but no snorkel gear or beach chairs, so we left two sets of snorkel gear and two lawn chairs. Overall, it was clean , comfortable for our family of five adults and one young baby, a great location, and we’d stay definitely stay here again!

Reviewer Comments: the first time we went to use the sink on the main floor, it did not drain.We wondered how anyone had cleaned that sink and NOT noticed it, leading us to the nasty thought that the sink had not even been cleaned before our arrival. (BTW, this was confirmed by the plumber who came the next day)I was too late to call but I called first thing on Thursday, which was Thanksgiving day and was told someone would come out to repair it. No one showed up by afternoon, and when I called again the call was patched through to Security, who said no one was around to do anything till the next day. Another call to ETB and no answer and another call to Security, who kindly said he could contact the owner. I made another call to ETB around 11 AM and they said they would send someone out. The sink was fixed some time around 3 PM on Friday. To not have any repair people available on holidays is absurd! People generally rent vacation places because it is a holiday....What if the toilet had overflowed....would that also need to wait?

A Pleasant Stay at Kuilima

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group of four (two couples) stayed at this property for four nights and had a great time. The kitchen was nicely updated and the living area and bedrooms were spacious enough. The property was a 12 minute walk from the main Turtle Bay resort, beach, restaurants, etc. which was very convenient. The property had also recently been sprayed for bugs when we arrived and we did notice numerous bugs while visiting, but this could be fairly standard for first-floor properties of this type (this was our first experience on Oahu so cannot say for sure). Overall, the property suited our needs perfectly, even if some if the amenities could use updating. We would recommend to other prospective guests.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a good experience. The unit was clean. However, the unit we were in lacked maintenance. For example, the latch for the entry screen door was broken and looked like it had been for a long time. I had to use a cord and tie it closed to keep critters from possibly coming in and still allow for a breeze. The main level bathroom rug was tattered and appeared to be less than clean. We had a gecko in the lower bedroom on two occasions. They appeared to be coming and going from the area near the AC unit. The patio furniture was decorative only and nothing a person could sit on for more than a minute or two. It would have been nice if some adult beach chairs could have been provided. The kitchen was great but filters for the coffee pot would have been appreciated. You forced us to spend $3 or $4 for two additional filters. We probably would recommend TB Estates to a friend but not the property we were in.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have rented many vacation properties and this one was the least supplied for the environment that I have stayed at. Example: The BBQ is a charcoal one, located at the pool. There was no mention of that, nor were any charcoal or lighter fluid supplied. There was only one garbage bag supplied for the under counter container. Hard to get ahold of the management company. Office closed early in the day and leaving a message was the only option. Return call was longer than you'd expect on the day of check in. HYOu are at a beach location property and there were broken/old beach chairs left. This place was set up for 4-6 guests and the outside table was the size of a very small round old metal table with only two small uncomfortable chairs.

Nice relaxing week at Turtle Bay

The rental agency hanled our booking expertly, told us everything to expect, delivered on every promise, and made everything about the rental experience smooth, easy, and predictable.The unit we rented (Alea) was exactly as advertised. Clean, modern fully stocked, and perfect for two couples. There was a problem with the sink garbage disposal, but we called the rental agency and they dispatched a serviceman quickly, and he he cheerfully and professionally fixed the problem.If you're a serious cook, you'll find lots of basic cooking implements lacking here, so bring your own if you can.The upstairs bathroom has only a shower stall (no tub) and it's really tight, so you may have a hard time in there if you're big. Also, the shower dial is kind of tricky and it's a very fine line between cold and scalding hot, so be careful about that too. But we loved this place and would definitely rent it again.
