Ask a questionAbout Barry Evans
Barry's a Brit, Louisa's from the U.S. (growing up around the world). We divide our time between our home in Eureka, California (on the northern coast), Mexico and Europe. We love our Mexican life and enjoy our local friends, Spanish language, and savoring the culture here. Barry's a science writer and meditation facilitator; Louisa is a management trainer and business coach.
Barry Evans purchased this House in 2005
Why Barry Evans chose Zona Centro
After three weeks of house-searching, Louisa found our home almost exactly across the street from where she was staying -- and couldn't believe her luck. We're on a quiet street yet right in town, minutes away from shopping, markets, and entertainment. We walk everywhere (no need for a car). Within 15 minutes we are in the hills above town, exploring and hiking.
What makes this House unique
House works as a family home or as an apartment if you're only one or two people. Intimate yet expansive. Multiple views, pedestrian street, close to city center. Can be warm and cozy if it's chilly outside, but also has cool areas when it's hot. The ground floor is self-contained, with a fridge and two-burner range. We spend a lot of time in our plant-filled patio with the sound of the fountain.
