About this property

Cascade Hollow Lodge ... great for family gatherings

Our Lodge, a 6,000 sq ft rambling former farm home with plenty of room for families and groups to socialize in with comfort and ease.
We have three queen bed and one king bed, private bath en-suite rooms; one room with two twin beds with private bath; and two adjoining rooms with two beds in each which share a full bath; and, furthermore we have six firm, comfortable sofa's upon which bedrolls may be placed for the younger (more flexible) crowd ... easily sleeping 22 people. There is an additional full and a half bath in the building.
There are four spacious seating areas ... with a large screen TV/DVD/VCR in one of these areas, and other gathering spaces for conversations, reading, table games or just rocking away some "down time".
There is a large dining room with seating for 10-12 plus another nearby eating area for additional seating of 4-6 plus a breakfast room with seating for 6-8 for a total 20 to 24 dining spots. The Lodge also provides a large kitchen with double ovens, griddle, four burners, large frig with icemaker and freezer, microwave, toaster oven, blender, mixer, three sinks, two dishwashers and lots of counter space.
There is ample parking provided and two large covered porches for gathering and visiting ... plus a fire pit and a large gas cooking grill.
Furthermore, a "river runs through it" (well, it's a small stream but adds a special touch to the expansive landscaped grounds). The Lodge sits on 185 wooded acres with paths for exploring, and just 0.3 mile down the road guests can walk for a visit to historic George Dickel Distillery.

All the rooms include nice, firm mattresses, comfortable linens and towels, soap, shampoo, etc. and there are comfortable chairs and other appropriate furnishings in each of the seven rooms.

Good times & happy memories at Cascade Hollow
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cascade Hollow The hosts were clearly committed to our having the pleasantest stay possible. The home has an appealing exterior and interior in an inviting and very green setting. The décor is themed with historic and family accents. Bedrooms are beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and pleasant bathrooms. Four nicely sized common areas were especially welcome and useful for our multi-generation group. The hosts were readily and helpfully available. They are charming people who have created a venue that is welcoming and peaceful and a place to make memorable connections with family and friends.

Amazing stay at Cascade Hallow Lodge
We had a great stay at the Lodge. Dave and Patty were amazing hosts. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to do a lot of cooking and baking during our stay. Our family was able to stay at the lodge and most of the rooms have their own bathrooms. It is great place to stay for a large group.

Great for groups!
Our whole team working the Bonnaroo festival in nearby Manchester was able to stay comfortably in this large retreat. The number of bedrooms and individual bathrooms makes it ideal for groups of adults. The owners and property manager are lovely and always accommodating. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Retreat
Our group of ladies had a weekend retreat at Cascade Hollow Lodge. The lodge was perfect with a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of space with three living areas for our meetings, and everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom! We were at the lodge during an epic flood! Ashlee, the manager was wonderful to work with and to accommodate our needs. Cascade Hollow Lodge was the perfect setting for our retreat.

About the host

Hosted by Dave and Patty McIntyre

Host profile image
Patty and Dave McIntyre ... both retired professionals who left Nashville for "the old family farm" for retirement. After some remodeling, we opened The Lodge to the public as a vacation rental. We have two grown children, who are involved in public non-profit service. We enjoy all kinds of people and are very accepting and hospitable. We love to travel and occasionally lead tour groups aboard. Since opening in 2009, we've hosted 3,000+ guests!

Why they chose this property

We inherited this house ... with about 20 years of "deferred maintenance" which we tackled head on and put the place back in order. We think you'll be surprised how much we've accomplished. The house is spacious, open yet warm and cozy with several gathering places for privacy or group activities. We've enjoy furnishing eclectically with contributions from four family homes. We have an affinity for the US southwest and Native American cultures ... you'll see the influence throughout the home. We like antiques; we like music; we like entertaining ... and the place is designed for groups to be able to enjoy themselves.

What makes this property unique

Over the ten years of operation, we've hosted honeymoons, anniversary and birthday couple's getaways, study retreats, business retreats, individual meditation retreats, wonderful family reunions, international visitors to this area from literally all over the world, filming crews, Bonnaroo staff members, bishops and bikers, country music stars and country farmers. Some of the happiest times here at Cascade Hollow Lodge are the warm and lively family gatherings ... some families now book with us a year in advance. Our facilities lend themselves to friend and family gatherings.
