Our Lodge, a 6,000 sq ft rambling former farm home with plenty of room for families and groups to socialize in with comfort and ease.
We have three queen bed and one king bed, private bath en-suite rooms; one room with two twin beds with private bath; and two adjoining rooms with two beds in each which share a full bath; and, furthermore we have six firm, comfortable sofa's upon which bedrolls may be placed for the younger (more flexible) crowd ... easily sleeping 22 people. There is an additional full and a half bath in the building.
There are four spacious seating areas ... with a large screen TV/DVD/VCR in one of these areas, and other gathering spaces for conversations, reading, table games or just rocking away some "down time".
There is a large dining room with seating for 10-12 plus another nearby eating area for additional seating of 4-6 plus a breakfast room with seating for 6-8 for a total 20 to 24 dining spots. The Lodge also provides a large kitchen with double ovens, griddle, four burners, large frig with icemaker and freezer, microwave, toaster oven, blender, mixer, three sinks, two dishwashers and lots of counter space.
There is ample parking provided and two large covered porches for gathering and visiting ... plus a fire pit and a large gas cooking grill.
Furthermore, a "river runs through it" (well, it's a small stream but adds a special touch to the expansive landscaped grounds). The Lodge sits on 185 wooded acres with paths for exploring, and just 0.3 mile down the road guests can walk for a visit to historic George Dickel Distillery.
All the rooms include nice, firm mattresses, comfortable linens and towels, soap, shampoo, etc. and there are comfortable chairs and other appropriate furnishings in each of the seven rooms.
