This beautifully crafted, classic cedar NC mountain home has sweeping 180 degree views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Paved roads and a circle driveway make this cabin a super convenient way to enjoy the Blue Ridge from eye level. Long range views pour into the great room, dining area, adjacent kitchen and the loft through large fixed glass windows that surround the wood burning fireplace. Guests will find two bedrooms and a full bathroom located on the main level. The exposed loft features an additional queen suite and game table balcony, both open to the great room below. A full bathroom in the loft completes a layout that allows up to seven guests to enjoy a comfortable stay at Idle Spur. Idle Spur provides the total mountain cabin experience with natural wood accents throughout. Hardwood floors, peeled log furniture and knotty pine tongue and groove interior walls stretch from floor to ceiling. Turn off all the lights and gaze at the stars or watch the light from the fire flicker across the exposed beams in the vaulted ceiling high above. Enjoy the mountains outdoors on the large front porch perfect for taking in the views. An outdoor hot tub is available for the ultimate relaxing treat. Idle Spur is also equipped with modern convinces including fiber optic television and wireless internet service. The owners additional accents such as the outdoor propane grill and stocked board game shelf make every stay a memorable one. Put down the smart phone and pick up one of several hand crafted iron puzzles and emerge yourself in getting away from it all at Idle Spur.

This was a great place to stay, other cabins around but you still felt like you were secluded. Me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was a great break from work. The cabin was very clean and had everything that we needed in it for our stay.

Wonderful place for a vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for a week and had a great time in the house which fit four of us and my large dog quite comfortably. Kids loved the loft , bunk beds and the hot tub. I would love to go there to see the fall foliage next time. With all the home amenities it’s a perfect place away from home.

Great weekend getaway

Took a quick weekend drive up from Charlotte with a few friends. Everything was great, we had everything we needed. The view from the back deck was beautiful. Overall, two thumbs up!
