Pineapple House is a cozy cottage located on the south side of Marigot Bay, on the upper ridge called Marigot Heights, with scenic views to the bay and the Caribbean Sea. Pineapple plants cover the grounds outside the kitchen window; this is how the cottage came to its name. It is a very private property surrounded by fruit and coconut trees.
The cottage is part of the Summer Breeze where the property owners are residing with their two cats. They are very friendly animals and used to visitors. They might come and visit you from time to time. Pineapple House therefore is only recommended to visitors who love nature and are fond of animals.
The cottage amenities are: Wi-Fi, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/ freezer, toaster, ceiling fans, AC in the bedroom and access to the pool at the Summer Breeze. The bedroom has a double bed with an en-suite shower bath. All linens are provided.
It is a twenty minute walk from Marigot Heights to the bay with restaurants and bars, a small supermarket and a bank.
Ginger Lily ferry will take you across to La Bas beach where you can rent water sports equipment or book your snorkeling and scuba diving tours. The ferry operates around the clock, since there are no roads on the north side of the bay.
Only a ten minute walk away you find Trou Rolland also called Flying Fish Cove, a small secluded cove, ideal for a quick swim in the sea.
When up at Marigot Heights, it is highly recommended hiring a small jeep for getting around. Public transportation is not available off the main roads.
Once you are set up, you are only a forty minute drive away from the picturesque Pitons and the botanical gardens in the south and the busy Rodney Bay area in the north.
