My family and I traveled to Chattanooga for my son's graduation at UTC. We needed a place that could accommodate our large family group who were joining us for the celebration. We found this place on VRBO and it was perfect! The home was built in 1885 and is one of the oldest homes in Chattanooga, but it has been remodeled and restored beautifully. The house was amazing. So much character and history, with elegance and modern touches that compliment the original architecture. From the 130+ year old giant elm tree in the back yard, to the cherry wood floors and brass accents, and incredible kitchen designed perfectly for hosting and toasting.. this place was just great! My compliments to the owners who have done such a wonderful job in restoring and revitalizing this wonderful historic home!

Spring Break
We stayed here over Spring Break and had 3 adults and 6 children. The house was clean and accommodating. Close to downtown. There was plenty of space for all of us. Would stay here again for another kids trip or a girls trip.

Hi! Amy and I are a couple learning to navigate life with a beat-up truck, a few student loans, and a three-legged dog named Buckets. Amy just finished her MA in theater and teaches and directs at at a local college. She's an adventurous cook, gardener, and painter in her spare time. Luckily, she hired me as her stage carpenter and shares her amazing food. In my spare time, I hike and piddle around in my woodshop. We love the simple life, good food and the great outdoors.
As hosts we are very laid back, we hope to make your stay as breezy and simple as you'd like. As our schedule allows, we love to spend time enjoying porch views and meeting new folks.

Why they chose this property

When we peeked through the doorway of a dilapidated old victorian and saw the old oak stairway, we knew we had to give this house the loving restoration it deserved. Two years and a lot of sweat paint and tears later, we're so happy to be able to reveal the stately beauty of our piece of Chattanooga history.

What makes this property unique

You'll enjoy incredibly close access to downtown, Erlanger, UTC and central Chattanooga, all while feeling a little bit tucked away in the Highland park neighborhood. The house has a corner all to itself, a double lot with plenty of yardspace, several rare off-street parking spaces. The home itself has modern amenities like the extra large new kitchen and bathrooms paired with restored century old woodwork, ornate radiators and cast iron soaking tubs to maintain the strong vibes of a lovely 1800's era mansion.
