Fabulous Villa nestled between golf course, ocean and rain forest

Privately owned, beautifully decorated Mediterranean style Villa inside the 5 star Wyndham Rio Mar Resort Golf & Spa. The Villa offers fantastic golf course views from all bedrooms, balconies, and terraces. Ocean views also appreciated from top floor. It is in close proximity to an abundance of activities: golf, beach, pool, water sports, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, rain forest, bioluminescent bay and many many more. There is also an abundance of great restaurants in the vicinity.
Complete Villa has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. However, it can be rented as a 3 BDR/ 4 Baths or as a 2 BDR/ 2 Baths. Villas are connected by internal stairway that can be opened or closed based on rental needs.

The top Villa (3 BDR/ 4 baths) is a two story Villa. The three spacious bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The living room adjoins terraces where barbecuing can be done while enjoying fantastic golf course views

The lower level Villa (2 bedroom/2 baths) is a one level villa with direct access to the golf course. It also offers a private Jacuzzi that can be accessed from the master bedroom. .

Each Villa has a spacious living area, offers wifi, cable and TV in every room. It has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry & air conditioning throughout. Fresh linens and towels are provided.

Our spacious Villa is just minutes from the resort where Villa renters can enjoy wonderful restaurants, Casino, and the fantastic Mandara Spa. Villa renters have access to all beaches in the area. Beaches in PR are for public use. We have beach chairs and towels in the Villa.You are also allowed to bring cooler with food and refreshments. Villa Renters can visit hotel restaurants, spa, casino, use golf and tennis facilities. Hotel Pool and beach facilities are reserved for hotel guests.


The resort has two renowned golf courses, the Ocean and River. It offers clay and hard court tennis facilities for the tennis aficionados. Horseback riding and four-track riding activities are offered in nearby areas. The Villa is minutes away from the Yunque Rainforest, a majestic rain forest worth exploring during your stay. A variety of good restaurants are located a short drive away in nearby towns of Luquillo and Fajardo.

Great resort location
We like a house instead of hotel rooms. 8 of us on our annual January golf trip. Brew our own coffee. Cocktails and hit the Costco for some steaks etc. Courses are challenging enough for sure.

Beautiful property and perfect location
We stayed for six nights in the full villa (Units B and D) with myself, my daughter and her husband, and five kids aged 2 to 13. The villa itself was huge and just gorgeous, with everything we could need and lots of space for everyone. We had an issue with the lock keypad when we first arrived but it was quickly taken care of. The host, Sofia, was amazing. She helped us deal with the fact that the community pool was not available (a biggie for the kids), gave us some great ideas about things to see and do in the area, hooked us up with someone who could shop for us so we'd have groceries when we arrived tired and hungry from our red eye flight. She also helped us connect with Georgie who rented us two golf carts for the week. These were critical to getting all the various people to and from beach and pool at various times. Overall an absolutely great experience. I would stay here again!! Highly recommended for families.

Amazing Family/Friends vacation.
Our group of 4 adults and 5 children could not have been more pleased with our 6 days at the villa. From beginning to end, Sofia was amazingly accomodating and helpful. The villa itself was spacious and comfortable and the nearby beaches and amenities were lovely. I highly recommend getting the available golf carts. Hope to visit again in the not-too-distant future!

Wonderful for family vacations
We had a great time staying here in December. The outside terrace with tables and grill overlooking the golf course was very popular! The kitchen was well stocked and we were very close to local businesses and sightseeing. The beach was lovely and there were plenty of chairs provided. We were easily able to fit 10 people of different ages! Communication was great with the owner.

Perfect Piece of Paradise!
We had an amazing family vacation thanks to this beautiful home. There were four adults and 3 kids all under the age of 10. Everyday we woke up and enjoyed breakfast and coffee on the decks. Most days we enjoyed the pool and beach. One day we went to the rainforest and took picnic and enjoyed lunch in a 1930’s hut. We cooked breakfast and dinner for the kids nearly every night and had everything we needed. The linens were very nice. One day it rained and the kids and adults enjoyed playing the games located in the villa. I highly recommend getting the golf carts as they make everything infinitely easier. Overall, it was a great experience!

Great villa, but an unprofessional host
We rented the 5B/6b villa. The living and outdoor spaces are great, bedrooms are spacious - the villa is fine. The housekeeper, Lucy, is incredibly helpful. During our stay, leaks started in the ceiling of 1 bedroom. Sofia responded quickly, but couldn’t arrange repairs that day. The leak worsened so we had to shut off the villa’s water to prevent more damage, leaving no running water overnight. We put out and changed buckets, mopped, and moved furniture away from the leaks. The next day, Sofia offered a 3B/3b villa during the repairs. After repairs were done and we got back, there was no hot water and there was a leak in the kitchen. Again, Sofia couldn’t arrange repairs that day, but allowed us to continue using the 3B/3b villa. With the new leak, we again shut off the villa’s water overnight. In all, we lost 1 bedroom for 1 night before getting the 2nd villa, had limited access to running water and hot water for 2 days, and lost time dealing with the leaks and waiting for repairs. We were understanding and agreed the leaks were out of Sofia’s control and that she did everything she could, but when we requested a partial refund for the inconvenience, speaking with her became difficult. She took the request personally, screaming at me on the phone and talking over me, and was overall unprofessional. In the end, she offered a refund that was significantly lower than requested, and wouldn’t explain how she came to the amount. She clearly puts little value on her guests’ time.

Rio Grande Family Vacation
Sofia was great, she was in great communication with me throughout and before trip. Property was perfect for our family of 8. Make sure to rent golf carts, they were great to have to travel to the pool and hotel for activities. Golf course was in great condition and so close to condo. Hope to be back soon!

An amazing place to stay!
The renting process was seamless from the start till the end. Sofia, our hostess made sure to stay in contact with us throughout the week we stayed there, and she was extremely helpful in responding to all the inquiries we had not only about the Villa but the surrounding areas. As for the villa, what can I say? A wonderful and very well-maintained piece of heaven. Everyone in our family fell in love at first sight: the design, the amenities, and the beautiful surroundings the place is in made everyone feel at home. Let’s not forget the Jaccuzzi and the ACs in every room. Finally, being away for only 5-minute drive from one of the most beautiful beaches on the island was quite a delight. I cannot thank Sofia enough for her hospitality and for letting us stay in her place for this week.

The villa was beautiful. The location overlooking the golf course and trees was so peaceful and quiet. The villa was very well equipped for even a longer stay. The location in PR is great for getting around. The access to the villa pool was excellent as well as it was less busy. Definitely get a golf cart to get around. We will definitely rent this villa again next time in PR.

Perfect Accommodations
8 adults had plenty of room with a bathroom for every bedroom. Great location on the golf course and access to a pool while on the beach as well. Great communication with Sofia and we had fresh squeezed oj and grapefruit juice our first morning. Soooo good. The spa downstairs was a great way to end each evening. Would definitely stay here again.

Incredible VRBO Property for an awesome vacation
This property was even better than we had imagined. We loved the location, it was an easy drive from San Juan when we arrived and for a day trip back into the city. We spent most of our visit on this part of the island though because there was so much to do - beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and El Yunque in the backyard (seriously like a 10 minute drive). Sofia was a great host who stayed in contact throughout the stay to make sure we found the property okay, and had everything we needed while we were there. Her experience as a top-notch host is clear and made the vacation so much better for me and the rest of my family. We also loved the property - spent a lot of time at the beach and pool, and the golf carts were used frequently for the entire visit so I'd highly recommend renting them. Overall, highly recommend this property to all coming to PR for a visit.

Beautiful Villa and resort!
Absolutely loved this place! We rented the entire 5 bedrooms as our kids and their kids came and it was plenty of room! We also rented golf carts to get around the resort and they were also a blast!

Best Villa and great location
Rented both the top (3 Bedroom) and bottom villa (2 bedroom). Had the best experience. The complex is great and everything is within walking distance. The complex's beach is fantastic. The villas were perfect for our family of 8. Plenty of space and everything we needed for the week. Sofia checked in and was a great host. Will go back again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at both units, with 9 people. The Wyndham is a great resort and the units are nicely furnished and well located. We really enjoyed having the space and kitchens but also being in a gated resort with the beach and pool. Sophia is awesome as a host.

From booking to check out and everything in between. Sofia was great and the property was exactly as advertised. She was very responsive when we had a minor issue with a broken showerhead and had someone that sat in to fix it. Would absolutely stay again on our next trip.

Awesome post COVID-19 Workation
My wife and I enjoyed the property immensely. Although we worked as much or more than we vacationed, it was so nice to be in a tropical space. The property owner was great and stayed in constant communication before we arrived and checked on us during our stay. We plan to return.

Lovely Vacation
What an AMAZING trip! Sofia was an absolute gem to work with! From the moment we made contact until we left she was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable and extremely responsive. Her villa is just perfect! We rented the entire villa is was more than enough space for our family of 7. The location is perfect with a gorgeous view. Her villa is updated and includes everything you need for your adventures. We cannot wait to return and I hope to meet Sofia in person. She treated us like family!!!

Unforgettable vacation!
We were a group of 3 families...6 adults and 4 teenagers and rented out both of Sofia's villas. The villas were absolutely perfect for our needs! We cooked in a couple of nights, and absolutely anything and everything we needed was provided for us! The open air balconies were perfect for morning coffee and after dinner cocktails. Bedrooms were great and enough bathrooms for everyone to have their space. Coolers and beach chairs were a great touch for our beach days and we loved having the grill for our fresh catch! Sofia responded immediately to each and every question we had before and during our stay - a perfect hostess! The location of this villa is absolutely perfect for all of the activities on the east side of the island. 100% recommended - we hope to be back one day!

Great house, and wonderful resort.
This house was perfect for what we wanted - a beach resort vacation. We had all of the benefits of being at the resort (pool, swim-up bar, beach with provided chairs and umbrellas, restaurants, casino), but we were in a house so that we could all stay together and chill out in the living room, etc. Sofia (the host) was amazing - she responded to all communication immediately and went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great time.

This Villa has been one of our family's favorite weekend and summer destinations. We have been very fortunate to have been able to enjoy this property for many weekends and summers for are a very growing up. We have expanded it and made it suitable for our large family. Very child friendly . Multiple terraces and lots of space for large families and gatherings of friends.

Villa Solemar has the advantage of having flexibility of open 5bdr configuration or split configuration of 3bdr/2bdr if need be. Two fully equipped kitchens make it easy for family gatherings.
