Hop on your bike or put on your walking shoes and explore the nearby harbour of Stevensweert. Or discover the lively centre, just a leisurely walk or bike ride away from your front door. Stevensweert is uniquely situated, like an 'Island in the Meuse'. Originally a fortified town, this village surprises with its characteristic street pattern. Its greatest charm? The beautiful village centre itself.

A must-see is the imposing Hompesche Molen from 1722: a tower mill that has proudly stood the test of time. For a day of shopping, visit nearby Echt or Maaseik in Belgium. And for bargain hunters, it's only a 15-minute journey to Maasmechelen Village Outlet.

Around the park you will find numerous cosy brasseries and restaurants, perfect for a tasty break from your cycling or walking tour. And if you love boating, hire a sloop at the park and explore the waters in style
