Come and enjoy yourself in our beautifully remodeled lake home. This 5 bedroom 3 full bathroom home has plenty of room to sleep 14-16 people. There is also room to put blow up mattresses on the floor. There is a sandy beach for kids to play. The bottom of the lake has a gradual slope that is all sand, and great for swimming. Little Crooked Lake is a 105 acre lake that is all sports. So bring your boats, skis, and swimming suits to have a great time on this little gem of a lake!!

Lakehouse vacation 2024

We had the best time at this house, plenty of room for 11 of us. We had mostly adults & a couple grandkids. We love to go fruit picking then come back and bake some yummy treats and plenty of room with a lot of tools in the kitchen to do so. The lake was fun to take pontoon rides and go tubing behind our seadoo. John is very attentive and quick to respond to questions and even sent us an alert from the city about dry conditions and being careful with the fire pit. I would not hesitate to give this home a 5 star rating and our family made some wonderful memories. Thank you

Great Family Getaway

The property was great, exactly as described. The kitchen was more fully stocked with appliances, utensils, etc than my own kitchen. Being able to walk out to the dock and little beach with the little ones in our group was great. Plenty of room for our group of 13!

Place to stay for a family wedding

We enjoyed our trip and stay there. Plenty of room for us and the view of the lake was beautiful. The sunrise this morning was fabulous. Our first time ever doing something like this and will probably try it again.

Annual Girls Getaway

This was our 3rd year in renting a property for our group of 12 ladies. We’re all related, Mommies, Aunties, daughters, from 83 to 24 years old. Everything went smoothly; John was very quick to respond & answer to all of our inquiries! The house was perfect, the beach was lovely, the area had some great offerings for entertainment & food.

Perfect

My daughter's wedding was in Benton Harbor and no one lives in the area so we needed a place to stay. I found this house last minute and am so glad that I did. It slept 16 comfortably. it was clean and well stocked. The lake is beautiful and although it was to cold to enjoy the water, the sunrises were amazing. I would highly recommend this property a would love to stay again some day

Great place for big family gatherings!!!

The property is very spacious, plenty of room throughout the 2 floors, deck and big yard. Everyone in our group enjoyed themselves, the nice weather allowed us to use some of the amenities the owner offers, like ride on the pontoon (extra charge), kayak and paddle boat. The kids enjoyed themselves playing in the sand. House is equipped with everything you need to cook meals. Communication with owner, was excellent! He was always available for any requests that we had. Overall this was an excellent choice for our group, will definitely stay here again. In fact we already looked for availability for next summer lol, but house is unfortunately fully booked. Thank you John for everything!

The place was the best my family and myself loved it. So much fun and there was so much provided for the house and lake. Everyone wants to come back next year. The owner is great responds right away with any questions.

Can't wait to return

Everything about my family vacation at this house was perfect. The location of the home and lake itself were beautiful and ideal. And the accommodations provided by the renter were top notch - from kitchen ware, glasses and appliances to the abundance of beach towels. Having a basement area for the kids (movie room with five theater chairs and bunk bed room) was incredibly nice for the kids AND adults who needed a bit of a vacation too. As a host, the homeowner went above and beyond. The check-in/check-out instructions were crystal clear and he often checked in via text to make sure our stay was going well. My family has stayed in many vacation homes around the great state of Michigan, but they all want to return to this home for years to come. I only hope my rave review doesn't impede my ability to reserve once again.

Simply amazing!

I cannot say enough good things! The house was perfect! Upstairs for adults and downstairs for kids. There are 2 tables which is perfect for coloring downstairs & eating upstairs. There are so many beach towels which is great! Just make sure to be a good guest & wash them. The WiFi was perfect, huge new fridge but another in the basement in case. All of the bathrooms are very clean, modern, and large. There are bowls, woks, more cups then you could ever use, and many useful things in the many cabinets. Lastly, the outside has a perfect setup. Even in March our kids swam & played on the paddle boat. John answered so many questions for me & we will 100% be back! Just need to book in advance since this house is such a great find!

Spent 2 nights at this location and had a great time! The house was very clean and organized with lots of room for guests! A very short drive to the bars/restaurants/stores. John was so great with answering all of my questions throughout the weekend! Absolutely recommend this location to everyone!

Friends weekend winery/brewery getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the property! It was beautiful! There was plenty of sleeping space and space to gather to hang out with 10 of us. The owner was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful with suggestions in area and making our stay wonderful! Highly recommend this property!

Amazing property

I loved everything about this vacation. The house was exactly what we were looking for. We planned an end of the year guys golf trip and I was originally worried about the house not being big enough to accommodate 12-14 men. We ended up with only 8 guys and there was more than sufficient room for all of us. I definitely will consider doing this again next year and would love to business with the Paligas again!

Went for my daughters bachelorette party. 13 of us had plenty of room to stay and get ready to go out to several wineries on Saturday. Would highly recommend this house.

The house was extremely clean. Very roomy - we had a mini family reunion and there was plenty of room for everyone. The lake is lovely! The kitchen was very well stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes and glasses we could have ever wanted. Overall, an excellent stay.

Perfect House, Water and Owner

A large house that exceeded our expectations. The house is well stocked and the extra refrigerator downstairs was a real bonus. This is a perfect house for a family vacation. We had 6 adults and 5 children in our group. Great fishing and swimming in the clear lake with a sandy bottom. Our grandkids loved the “water mat” and there are lots of outside chairs. John the owner was fantastic! He was always ready to answer our questions and ensure we had everything needed to make it the perfect family vacation. We are going back next year!

Awesome family vacation

We chose this house from the website for a few specific reasons, and it did not disappoint. Lovely house was comfortable and clean with enough room for everyone. It even has central air and wifi. Since we have young grandchildren I wanted a sandy beach area where you wade into the water, and the kids had a blast. The house was equipped with many items that we've had to drag with us at past rentals, i.e. Bed sheets, bath and beach towels, kitchen utensils and baking dishes, box fans. Basically you bring your clothes, food and beverages and you're good to go.

Great home for family!

My family of 10 adults and 5 kids stayed here for Thanksgiving. We get together only once every two years, so it is very important to all of us. The house was beautiful, and large enough for everyone to sleep comfortably. The huge (and well-stocked!) open kitchen made meal prep easy, and we were all able to dine together. Two large living rooms were great for kids and adults to enjoy their own movies. We enjoyed playing games altogether, and sitting around the fire pit. Host was welcoming and easy to reach throughout the stay. I had a lot of people to please in the family, and everyone was thrilled with the place. We hope to come again for our next stay, or even earlier. We would LOVE to come back sometime during the summer to go swimming and fishing. Thank you!

My name is John Paliga, I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago Il. I am now a Firefighter/Paramedic in the Northwest suburbs. I have a beautiful wife with 2 amazing kids. My Dad and I bought this house to enjoy with our families.

Why they chose this property

As a kid, we would go up to Sister Lakes and spend the weekend at my parents friends home on Round Lake. It was so much fun, that I would leave there every time wanting to come back. It is the ideal place to spend a family vacation, and very close to home for a quick weekend getaway!

What makes this property unique

Sitting out on the huge wrap around deck in the morning drinking coffee and watching the sunrise across the lake! Also, being on the West side of the lake puts the deck in full sun during the day, and full shade at the end of the day so you can eat dinner outside! The walk out basement has a bathroom down there to easily accommodate bathroom breaks so you don't have to walk all the way upstairs.
