Great Stay and So Close to Mt Etna.

Set in a lovely village close to Mt Etna, it was ideal for our holiday. The village has a good supermarket, a butcher, some bars and an excellent restaurant with good staff. Carmelo was a lovely host, who waited for us late at night to show us the villa and settle us in. He checked on us a few more times to make sure everything was all right and gave us information about the area, he joked about his English but he was easy to understand and we communicated very well. The villa was clean and had very comfortable beds. Unfortunately, it was very cold and wet during our stay so we did not make use of the small garden or terrace but the villa had central heating so we were very warm in the mornings and evenings. In the Summer, it would be great to have meals outside and enjoy the garden. There were 6 of us and we had enough space to enjoy the villa. Be careful when using the main bathroom, there is no shower curtain and we wet the bathroom floor several times. The village is not very busy and 2 of the 3 bedrooms are right next to the street, if you are a light sleeper, you might be woken by a passing car but I do stress, the traffic is light, it is not a major road. There is a slow internet connection, good for light use but if you need to work, you are better off going to Catania and using the wifi in one of the bars. We did this when 2 people had some work to do one day and was not a problem. I certainly recommend staying here and the villa is close to the airport, major motorway to Catania and Taromina and of course the amazing Mt Etna. We also loved walking around the village and buying food in the local shops, a perfect place to stay. Unfortunately, I left a very good pair of scissors in the kitchen, so if you use it, think of me.

excellent sejour

nous sommes partis a deux couples pour une semaine en mai 2017 en sicile. L'accueil des propriétaires très sympa avec pot de bienvenu petits anti pastis et une corbeille de fruit , nous avons appréciés, la maison est très spacieuse et très propre, il y avait tout ce qui faut pour passer un bon séjour, terrasse ombragée et un jardin; A conseiller et de plus très bien placé, proche de l'Etna.

Très belle location, avec des propriétaires attentionnés

L'appartement est vraiment de très bonne qualité: grand, avec des couchages nombreux et confortables, un niveau d'équipement très satisfaisant (télévision française, Wifi, équipement de cuisine complet, lave-linge, baignoire à bulles, sèche-cheveu, etc.) et d'une propreté impeccable. La vue sur l'Etna et les vergers alentours est très belle. Enfin, les propriétaires sont très gentils et attentionnés, avec un contact chaleureux et vraiment au service. Je recommande cet appartement vivement !

Casa complerta i excelente atenció.

Casa àmplia i amb un jardí molt atractiu. Excel·lent atenció dels propietaris. Hem passat 7 dies amb moltes atraccions turístiques i culturals properes, a més de la possibilitat d'esmorzar a l'aire lliure sobre la gespa o gaudir de la lectura d'un bon llibre. Totalment recomanable. ----------------- Casa amplia y con un jardín muy atractivo. Excelente atención de los propietarios. Hemos pasado 7 dias con muchas atracciones turísticas i culturales cercanas, además de la posibilidad de desayunar al aire libre sobre el cesped o disfrutar de la lectura de un buen libro. Totalmente recomendable. -------------------- House wide with a very attractive garden. Excellent attention of the owners. We have spent 7 days with many cultural and tourist attractions nearby. sejour merveilleux

La maison est superbe et spacieuse. Les chambre sont grandes mais un peu bruyantes à cause du passage de nombreuses voitures et camions sur la route qui longe la maison, et ce dès 6h du matin. De l'autre coté de la maison, ce sont les chiens et le coq qui réveillent tout le monde dès 5h du matin. Si vous êtes habitués au bruit, alors tout ira bien. Mais pour nous, qui adorons le calme pour dormir, les nuits ont été un peu fatigantes. Un coin pelouse très agréable pour se reposer borde la maison avec de très beaux arbres et fleurs. On voit l'etna et la mer depuis la rue. Le village de san Giovanni montebello est typique avec ses églises, ses rues en pentes, ses petits commerces et ses habitants sympathiques. Carmelo et Eliana sont vraiment très gentils. Ils viennent voir si tout va bien, vous apportent parfois une spécialité sicilienne à déguster à l'apéro. Parler avec eux est pur bonheur. Carmelo est intarissable sur la Sicile ! Nous recommandons vivement cette location malgré les petites nuisances dues au bruit la nuit. Nous recommandons également le restaurant "antiche e botti" situé à 300m de la maison et qui sert des plats siciliens absolument divins pour pas trop cher. Le service est remarquable.

trés bien

trés belle maison , spacieuse, bien équipée. nous étions 5 ,2 familles avec 2 adultes et 3 enfants. chacun avait son espace grâce. à la disposition de la maison et des 2 salles de bains. la maison est excentré de giarre , sur les hauteurs mais des petits commerces de proximités sont au abord. trés bon accueil des propriétaires avec un cocktail sicilien de bienvenue. nous avons passer une trés bonne semaine . trés bonne prestation qualité prix. je recommande vivement.

Wonderful house !

We had a great time in Sicily, thanks to the owner and his wife for letting us rent their house. It,s very comfortable, clean and big enough for 5 adults and a 10 months old baby. The garden was a wonderful place to be when it was warm, in the evening we sat on the terrace. We visited the Etna ofcourse and many other beautiful places...San Giovanni is a nice village with supermarket, great restaurant and a place to drink coffee in the morning ! Very friendly people !!! We all miss it , back in our cold Holland !!

Emplacement idéal

Bellissima casa!

La casa è molto bella, spaziosa come nella descrizione con un bel giardino ed una bella veranda. L'ospitalità di Carmelo ed Eliana è stata ottima, grazie alle loro indicazioni abbiamo trascorso una bellissima vacanza. La posizione della casa dista qualche chilometro dal mare, ma per visitare i dintorni è comunque in una buona posizione. La casa al nostro arrivo era molto pulita, dotata delle stoviglie necessarie e dei confort descritti. La consiglio!!!

Superbe séjour en Sicile

La maison est très spacieuse et convient parfaitement à plusieurs couples car l'intimité est respectée. Il y a un magnifique jardin très bien entretenu et une grande terrasse ensoleillée le matin et à l'ombre l'après-midi ce qui est très appréciable en été. L'accueil est plus que amical, nous avons été reçu comme en famille. Nous remercions Carmelo et Eliana pour leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité.

très agréable séjour sicilien

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Carmelo et Eliana. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis et un repas typiquement sicilien nous attendait. Super vacances chez Carmelo et Liliana

Un super accueil de la part de Carmelo et Liliana. Nous avons apprécié leur gentillesse, leur serviabilité, ainsi que le repas typiquement sicilien et tout le reste. La maison est super agréable à vivre. Impeccable pour vivre à 2 familles. Un jardin super agréable où l'on peut profiter de l'ombre de l'abricotier. Les enfants ont pu jouer avec les enfants Agata et Giovanni. On aurait pu penser que nous étions chez de la famille. Il y a dans le village un supermarché qui est bien achalandé pour faire ses courses. Situation impeccable pour visiter. (message pour Carmelo et Liliana c'est la mamie qui transmet le message car Marilyn est en panne d'internet, on vous embrasse). Rien à redire sur cette location. On espère bien y retourner !

Ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ätna-Touren

Ein wirklich schönes Ferienhaus mit viel Platz innen (drei Schlafzimmer, zwei Bäder) und viel Platz draußen (eine schattige Terrasse und ein kleiner Garten). Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Und man ist unter Sizilanern - der Ort hat für Touristen nicht viel zu bieten. Sehr positiv auch die Geschäfte, die man problemlos zu Fuß erreichen kann (Bäcker, Supermarkt, Metzgerei und ein hervorragender Obstladen). Und mit dem Auto ist man schnell am Ziel, sei es Taormina, Catania oder der Ätna. Also auch als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen geeignet. Einzig bis zum nächsten schönen Strand muss man etwas weiter fahren. Zum Haus: Dank der herzlichen Vermieter ist immer frisches Obst da, die Küche "funktioniert", wie üblich fehlen scharfe Messer, Spülschwämme und Spülmittel. Das WLan ist etwas bockig, funktioniert aber leidlich. Großes Bad gepflegt, kleines Bad OK, Schlafzimmer ruhig, Matratzen in Ordnung. Empfehlung für Familien und kleine Reisegruppen.

Great

We had a very enjoyable week in this spacious, clean and comfortable house. The lovely garden, private parking and the back porch are a few of the bonuses coming with this accommodation. But what impressed us mostly was the outstanding hospitality of Carmello and Eliana. To list only few examples of their warm welcome and generosity: showing us the way to the house from the motorway exit, offering free accommodation for my parents as a gift for my father's birthday, awaiting us with delicious traditional hot food and tasty wine, free fresh oranges and lemons every day, helping with local advice etc. Thank you very much for the great week we had in your house! Sicile en novembre 2013

Située entre mer et montagne, l'Albiccoche House offre à ceux ou celles qui veulent randonner le matin et se baigner l'après-midi une base idéale. De plus, elle se trouve à St Giovanni di Montebello près de Catane et permet une visite proche des plus belles villes siciliennes de la côte orientale. Eliana et Carmelo nous ont accueillis chaleureusement, toujours prêts à rendre service et à conseiller. A notre arrivée, un dîner succulent typiquement sicilien nous a été offert dans cette maison spacieuse, propre et bien équipée. Grand merci à Eliana et Carmelo pour ce séjour. "Carmelo et Eliana nous ont accueilli avec un délicieux diner sicilien typique fait maison. FROMIDABLE ! SENSATIONNEL !

"FORMIDABLE !!! La villa de l''abricot (Albiccoche) est vraiment superbe : tout est neuf, vaste, confortable. Maison très agréable, spa...

Maison très agréable, spacieuse, bien équipée. Terrasse et jardin très vacances... Rue très proche, mais très peu de circulation la nuit. Situation très pratique entre Etna Nord et Etna Sud, voiture indispensable. Parking dans le jardin. Magasin à proximité. Accueil TRES chaleureux (merci pour le délicieux repas fêtant notre arrivée ! ).

Superbe séjour sur les ha...

Superbe séjour sur les hauteurs de Giarre à San Giovanni Montebello. La maison est spacieuse, confortable, décorée avec goût. Très beau jardin et grande terrasse couverte pour prendre ses repas. San Giovanni est un village authentique très agréable sur l'une des routes qui conduit à l'Etna ; le refuge Sapienza est à 30kms environ. Les plages de sable gris de Fondachello ou Fiumefreddo sont à 20 mns en voiture. San Giovanni est très bien situé par rapport aux centres d'intérêt touristique de la Sicile ionienne : Catane et Taormina, par exemple, sont à 30 minutes. Mais ce qui transforme ce séjour en moment exceptionnel, c'est le sens de l'accueil, de l'hospitalité et la gentillesse d'Eliana et de Carmelo qui, par exemple, nous ont offert un repas typiquement sicilien le premier soir. Un accueil formidable! Ca...

Un accueil formidable! Carmelo est venu nous chercher à la sortie de l'autoroute, et sa femme et lui même nous ont reçu avec une boisson, de bonnes choses à déguster. Et nous sommes églamement partis avec un petit cadeau! Merci encore! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié! L'appartement était propre, fonctionnelle,agréable avec la terrasse qui est une seconde pièce de la maison! Tout l'équipement y était. Nous aurions pu arriver sans siège auto et poussette, tout l'équipement bébé y était! Le seul tout petit bémol, est que l'appartement est proche de la route, et on entend un peu les voitures. après ce n'est pas très gênant, car nous avons passé tout notre temps du côté de lma terrassa qui est de l'autre côté de la route. En tout cas encore un grand merci à Carmelo et sa femme!

Siamo 2 famiglie di due g...

Siamo 2 famiglie di due genitori e tre bambini in tutto, abbiamo risieduto in questa casa molto comoda,molto pulita e accogliente, giardino accogliente a misura di bambini, in zona collinare alle pendici dell''Etna in un paesino molto tranquillo. Ottimo punto di partenza per visitare la parte Est della Sicilia. Simpatici e molto diponibili i proprietari la cui ospitalità come quella di tutte le persone che abbiamo incontrato ci ha fatto ripromettere di tornare. Simone A. - Italia

Nice accomodation. Conform to the description on the website : very clean and confortable. Most of all,Carmelo and his wife are outstanding hosts, friendly and available. A nice place to spend time with family.
