Cottage in the village near the sea
Fabulous cottage in ideal location, very clean, everything you need, 5min walk to the village and beach. The woodland garden is lovely to sit outside, however we were not expecting it to be a shared garden with the adjoining cottage. Description just says secluded garden not shared.

Perfect!
Midwood Cottage was perfect for our stay. The property was well equipped, very clean, very nicely furnished & in a quiet location. Having a lovely garden to sit out in and a parking space was great - both rare for holiday lets in Alnmouth. The host Christine was excellent with communications & provided lots of helpful information about places to visit, eat etc. There were lovely additional personal touches on arrival & a thoughtful welcome tray which was much appreciated & made us feel welcome! I can't praise the host or recommend the property highly enough.

The Storey family love sharing the property with guests and try to make it a home from home. We always leave a lovely welcome pack for guests to enjoy and provide tea and coffee and homemade cakes. ( And a bit of alcohol ).
We have wonderful memories of seeing our children grow up and have fabulous photographs of children playing football on the beach and beautiful village scenes through the seasons.
And the garden often has colourful visitors.

Why they chose this property

We love the village of Alnmouth and the privacy that this property gives with lots of outdoor space and parking which is rare in the village. The huge garden is such a pleasure as we live close to the city and typically have small urban gardens. The tree house is wonderful for children to play in. We have a big shed which guests can use for storing bikes and walking gear.
