We enjoyed our stay at The Magnolia. It’s a little dated, but it was very nice. We enjoyed the drive back to the cabin- saw deer multiple times on the golf course! It was also nice that we did not need 4 wheel drive to get to the property. It’s hilly and curvy, but not steep. The fireplace was so nice and cozy! The only complaints are that there was no bellows for the fireplace, so my husband just had to blow lots to get the fire going. The jacuzzi tub also needs a really good internal cleaning. When I tried to do the jets one time, a film appeared on the water. I had to clean the tub afterwards so that I could take a bath (without the jets). Lastly, the communication was lacking a little. VRBO app said one thing about heat, the sign on fridge said another. The trash instructions were not clear at all. We disposed of it, and certainly didn’t mind doing that- we just didn’t know WHERE to go. The instructions just basically said “in Laurel Valley” but didn’t pinpoint a specific spot. One thing I would suggest that we’ve had at cabins before is a book with instructions, local restaurant menus, information on area shows/attractions, etc. The menus especially are helpful when you don’t have cellphone reception and want to decide on a place to eat. Plus it encourages people to eat at a more local place rather than a chain restaurant. ☺️ Overall, we had a wonderful stay! It was quiet, peaceful and clean.
