A unique opportunity to experience a Norwegian tradition! While common in the countryside of Norway, only a handful of these authentic Norwegian log homes exist in North America. In Norway a "hytte" is a home in the wilderness that represents an opportunity to connect with nature. This 2400 sqft home was ***imported from Norway*** to re-create this unique Scandinavian tradition, including the logs, doors, hand-carved accents, Norwegian fireplace and blacksmith hardware.
Minutes from Sugarbush Resort, yet nestled in a serene wooded setting at the end of a private road, the only thing you will hear is the nearby brook meandering through the woods.
Three separate bedrooms each with a queen and bunk bed make it ideal for gatherings. The large yet cozy living room with a fireplace and wall of windows overlooking nature is a peaceful gathering spot with three large sofas and a game table.
The fully stocked kitchen has everything you will need - pots, pans, electric griddle, waffle iron, blender, Crock Pot and plenty of glassware and place settings. We even have freezer coozies for your Heady Topper (which is usually available at the local stores). The spacious dining room with a large farmhouse table seats 10 comfortably.
Outside you will find two separate decks, a large Weber grill and an oversized live-edge picnic table that seats 10.
We are a 5-minute walk to the 11th hole of the Sugarbush Golf Club and the main parking lot to Sugarbush Resort is a 5-minute drive for some of Vermont's best skiing, downhill mountain biking, and an 800 foot zip line.
The home is equipped with wall-to-wall wifi and an LG flat screen TV with both Apple TV and Chromecast for streaming. Guest are welcome to sign into their Netflix, Amazon Video or HBO accounts from the Apple TV. For Spotify users, there is a two-zone Sonos music system that will allow music streaming from the Spotify app.
The house has a 48 amp ChargePoint EV charger for guests to use.
Please note that the house does have one Nest security camera recording the front yard area, and one camera on the shed recording the area in front of the shed, there are no cameras inside the property.
