The Zoo House is less than 2 miles from the NC Zoo! It’s a short walk to the new Zoo City Sportsplex, a 10 minute drive to downtown Asheboro, restaurants, shops, theaters, bowling, & miniature golf. Seagrove Pottery area is a 15 minute drive and the Petty Museum is 20 minutes away. Perfect!

House was clean and spacious with a nice yard and patio area to enjoy. Great location, quiet but close enough to attractions. Check in and out was a breeze and the price was incredible!

Wonderful

We enjoyed our stay at the zoo house. Everything was very clean. The fresh milk, half and half, eggs and bread were really appreciated. The NC Zoo was super close as were several restaurants. We ate at the Flying Pig and visited Four Saints Brewery during our stay. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the zoo!

Hosted by Bryan Kopa

We are Bryan and Karen, married 40 years, with two grown sons. We’ve raised our family in neighboring Davidson County. Our son Michael is our co-host. Southern by choice, we moved to the area almost 25 years ago from upstate NY. We have extensive experience in public service and remodeling, and have enjoyed remodeling and preparing The Zoo House. We are so excited to have the opportunity to host guests!

It is just two miles from the zoo, and 15 minutes to Seagrove. Downtown Asheboro is just a 10 minute drive, where there are a variety of restaurants, antique shops, and stores.
