About this property

Private Beach Access Trail And Peaceful Wooded Setting

Your health and safety comes first to us! We are using products approved by the CDC to eradicate any lingering germs, bacteria, and viruses. We are taking extra precautions by ensuring all commonly touched surfaces are wiped down completely. The linens, towels, bed sheets, etc. are washed per manufacturers guidelines. We are also stocking our home with essential disinfectants and supplies to help you follow the CDC’s guidelines. We look forward to welcoming you to our property and hosting your stay.

The Madrona Leaf Lodge is a cozy home for enjoying the truly tranquil surroundings this place has to offer. Located on the coast between Port Angeles and Sequim, you have easy and convenient access to the Olympic Mountains, National Parks, and local attractions. If you choose to stay close to home, you have a private trail with beach access, about a 5 min hike along the creek to a lagoon, where the creek meets the Strait of Juan de Fuca. If you stay indoors, you have many amenities including WiFi, cable TV, washer/dryer, kitchen dishes and utensils. It is equipped with everything you will need to stay for a weekend or even for a month at a time. It has clean, late model appliances including a glass top range and a dishwasher and all of the cooking utensils, cookware, dishes and glassware that you will need to fully enjoy your meals. You will want to barbecue outdoors on the grill and share your meals on the porch watching the sunsets and the wildlife that is all around. The cozy, comfortable couch is perfect for relaxing indoors and enjoying the T.V. and stereo or just reading a good book. The quality front loading laundry set is there for your convenience and the bathroom offers a bathtub and shower combination. The queen size bed and the double beds will accommodate six people comfortably.

You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles.

The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market.

There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining.

The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Madrona Leaf Lodge.

Relaxing getaway
This place is perfect if you are looking to get away from it all and experience the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula. Great location and extremely cozy and clean- this place had everything we needed for a few days touring the area. The beach access was also a highlight, we really enjoyed our stay.

Calm, Quiet Location
We stayed in one of the other properties at this location before and wanted to come back for the peace and serenity while enjoying the surrounding farms and activities. This property was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed watching the herd of deer and eagles every day. Just important to know that it is an older home that could use a little TLC/minor repairs. And it's on the side without a water view. But it's an affordable option to enjoy the area and the check-in/check-out process is super easy as well.

The location was great and the mobile home was in a quiet setting, with beach access nearby (down a steep trail). Beds were comfy and kitchen was well equipped.

We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.

Why they chose this property

We have lived on this acreage for many, many years and have gradually developed several vacation rentals on it over the past few years. We love this beautiful land and try to keep it looking it's best for everyone who comes to visit so that they will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

This particular vacation home is the least expensive on the property, and best deal around. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!
