Set in an exclusive all year round location our beautiful villa with home comforts at Lacanau Ocean is generously furnished for your holiday and fully equipped with large sofas, upstairs carpeting and comfy beds. It has two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles. Both have carpets and are cosily furnished.

The setting places you within the unique environment of the wooded park surrounding the Garden Golf, amongst the scented pines. You are perfectly situated for the beaches, lakes, forest paths and, of course, the golf. For couples seeking a peaceful relaxing get away from it all this is an ideal location where pretty much anything you like to do on holiday is available. If you are a golfer we are moments walk from the first tee, but if you aren't a golfer the beautiful golf course location is select and peaceful. The scent of the pines and the sound of the ocean immediately captivates you when you arrive. Then you can enjoy the seaside, the golfing, surfing, lakes, sandy lake beaches, pool, cycling, walking, tennis, riding, casino, wine tours. We are situated only forty minutes drive from Bordeaux Merignac airport. just to tell you a little more about our premium golf course setting, moments walk to the first tee, club house and hotel of Golfing D'Ardilouse (open to all, you don't need to be a golfer) one of France's top class golf courses. Three courses to choose from, a challenging 18 hole, full length 9 hole plus par 3 courses. Golf school and two driving ranges and practice areas (one is just a few steps from our house). Shared pool open June to September. Easy access to many other sporting facilities including stunning lakeside beaches, surfing, body boarding, canoeing, kayaking, horse riding. Use vast network of cycle paths or walk through scented pines to reach beaches and the picturesque surfing seaside resort of Lacanau ocean with its pavement cafes, weekly market, patisserie, oyster bars, artisan shops and bars. Half an hour drive to Bordeaux's vineyards. Visit beautiful historic Bordeaux, take an outing to visit the traditional oyster villages of the Bassin D'Arcachon and climb the Pilat Dune, the highest dune in Europe. You will find activities to suit every taste and every age all close by. Please ask about extra such as body boards, bikes and golf clubs available to borrow at no additional cost.

Wohnen unter Pinien

Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus, in dem wir uns sofort zu Hause gefühlt haben. Liegen auf der Terrasse, Fahrräder und Boards zum Wellenreiten vorhanden. In 10 Minuten per Fahrrad durch duftende Pinienwälder zum Strand und der sehr einladenden Restaurant- und Shoppingmeile. Es war ein rundum wundervolles Ferienerlebnis, inklusive Ausflügen nach Bordeaux und Ile d'Oleron. Guter Kontakt zu den Gastgebern. Wir wollen unbedingt wieder hin.

Schönes Häuschen zwischen Meer uns Seeen.

Wir hatten tolle Tage in dem liebevoll eingerichteten Haus von Carolyn. Ab der ersten Minute fühlten wir uns wohl und konnten unseren Urlaub sehr genießen. Mit dem Fahrrad kurz zum Bäcker, ans Meer oder an den See. Das Haus steht in einer schönen Gegend von Lacanau-Ocean. Im Haus fehlt es an NICHTS. Zu unserer Urlaubsausrüstung für Ferienhäuser gehören immer große Gläser und Tassen, scharfe Messer und ein Mixer. Das alles war diesmal vorhanden :-) Auch die Terrassenmöbel sind sehr bequem. Vielen Dank für einen wunderschönen Urlaub. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt in Lacanau in der Nähe des Golfplatz

Das Haus liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Golfplatz im Pinienwald, es ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit 2 Schlafzimmern, Wohnzimmer, Küche, Bad und eine kleine Terrasse. Es ist alles da, was man üblicherweise benötigt. Toll auch die mögliche Benutzung von den Fahrrädern, Bodyboards und Golfschlägern ( sogar für Linkshänder !). Der Gemeinschaftspool ist erfrischend und lädt zum Schwimmen ein. Lacanau Ocean ist in 7 min mit dem Fahrrad leicht zu erreichen. Man kann in der Umgebung sämtliche Sportarten betreiben, insbesondere Surfen, Fahrrad fahren, Schwimmen im Pool oder Meer, Kanu fahren oder Kytesurfen, Paddeln, Reiten und noch vieles mehr. Auch der nahegelegenen See bietet dabei viel Möglichkeiten. Wir sind zum wiederholten Mal in Lacanau und genießen es jedes Mal aufs Neue . Herzlichen Dank an Carolyn für die schöne Zeit und den besonders netten Kontakt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war sehr gut und freundlich. Das Haus ist bis auf die Beleuchtung gut eingerichtet, es fehlten jedoch vernünftige Leselampen. Die Einrichtung insgesamt ist in Ordnung, etwas altmodisch. Das Fahrrad könnte eine Beleuchtung und einen Fahrradständer haben. Der Urlaub hat mir gut gefallen. Vielen Dank!

Un séjour parfait

Une petite maison, très propre et très bien équipé. Nous avons bien profité. Merci à Carolyn pour sa disponibilité et les conseils. Un endroit calme, pas trop éloigné des commerces et des plages. Les pistes cyclables sont juste à côté et c’est très agréable. Depuis quelques années nous venons en vacances dans les Landes, mais c’est la première fois que nous avons pu trouver une vraie maison de vacances, familiale, accueillante. Mille merci !

Séjour agréable dans une maison aménagée avec soin.

La maison est aménagée avec soin, bien équipée, les pièces sont de bonne taille. La jardinet est un peu petit mais agréable car bien ombragé. Malgré que la maison soit mitoyenne, avec un parking accolé, il n'y a pas de bruit hormis entre les jardinets. Idéal pour quatre personnes. Très proche des pistes cyclables.

Vraiment parfait

Une jolie maison coquette car meublée avec goût, un endroit privilégié calme. Tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin est à disposition : vélos planches pour la mer... Le logement est parfaitement équipé. Merci aux propriétaires pour la qualité de la prestation.

Beautfull House and perfect hosts

I can recommend everyone to book this house. Sitting on the terrace under the pine trees, swimming in the pool or laze on the sofa.the House is a perfekt starting Point for many activities and Trips. For us, a familiy with 2 Kids, everything was ecxelent. The House is clean and you can find everything you need in it. It is Well eqipped (many stuff in the kitchen, bed linen, towels, washmachine, Bikes, Surfboards, ......). Carolyn And Steve are very friendly, they are preparing everything And the conversation by Email works fast, friendly and reliable. We will defenetly book this smart Villa once again.

sehr gut

Das Haus liegt absolut ruhig und ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. In der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Die Terrasse liegt sehr angenehm im Schatten der Pinien, so dass selbst im heißen Sommer eine gewisse Abkühlung möglich ist. Mit dem Fahrrad ist man in 7 Minuten in Lacanau Ocean am Strand oder auf der Promenade. Es gibt ein gut ausgebautes Fahrradnetz in dieser Region. In 50 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto in Bordeaux. Wir haben 2 sehr erholsame Wochen hier verbracht und kommen gerne wieder.

Tolles Haus, sehr gut eingerichtet und in einer ruhigen Gegend.

Bei dieser Unterkunft hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und alles ist sehr sauber. Die Vermieter haben uns zur Begrüßung eine Karte und eine gute Flasche Bordeaux hin gestellt. Wir konnten die Fahrräder, Surfboards und Golf- Sets benutzen, was die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall aufwertet. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

A well equipped, good property that was true to pictures and earlier reviews. Recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lacanau. The house was great, clean, well equipped and had a lovely sunny patio. It was perfect for us and our two girls. We also took advantage of the shared pool and the bikes and body boards in the shed. I generally cycled into the boulangerie each morning and we often walked into town for dinner. Loads of choice in terms of eating out. The local beaches were easily accessible and great and we went to the lake a few times. Safe easy swimming there particularly for small children. All in all a good holiday destination and a recommend from us.

Sehr hübsches Ferienhaus inmitten einer Anlage. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter!

Wunderbar um einen entspannten Familienurlaub zu machen. Z.B. Fahrradausflüge durch den Pinienwald ans Meer oder an den See, Golf, Tennis, Surfen oder einfach spazieren gehen in den Ort Lacanau Ocean um dort Eis, Crêpes oder ein Drink mit Sonnenuntergang am Meer zu genießen.

Perfektes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage

Hübsch eingerichtetes, sehr gepflegtes Haus in ruhiger Nachbarschaft am Golfplatz mit schattiger Terrasse unter Kiefern, genau richtig für einen entspannten Urlaub mit Strand, Läden und Restaurants fast vor der Haustür. Supernette hilfsbereite (englischsprachige) Vermieter, bieten viele Infos über Haus und die Umgebung. Für Radler: Die vorhandenen Fahrräder sind ok für den Weg zum Strand und zum Einkaufen, für längere Radtouren und sportliches Fahren eher nicht so geeignet - es gibt am Ort aber viele Fahrradvermietungen. Nett für lange Abende und Regentage: Viele DVDs und englische Romane - habe im Urlaub den ersten, aber sicher nicht letzten Ian Rankin gelesen.

Lovely house in a wonderful setting

We absolutely loved our stay in Lacanau. The property is in a great location, close to beaches and the lake, with cycle paths through the pine trees. The owners are very generous in leaving their bikes and beach equipment available for use - our children enjoyed the body boards and skimboard. We also made good use of the swimming pool available to residents which is in a lovely setting overlooking the golf course. The house is clean and well-maintained, with good sized bedrooms and lots of storage. We particularly appreciated the comfortable beds and linens. The garden is perfect for eating outside - lots of dappled sunshine but never too hot. Only thing missing for us as a family of four was a dishwasher! The owners were very responsive and helpful, providing lots of information about the house and local area and clear arrangements for arrival/departure.

A really well-equipped holiday house in a superb location

We booked this accommodation because we were impressed by the photos of the interior and the garden and we were not disappointed. This has all the feeling of a family home and is very comfortable and well equipped. We appreciated that Carolyn leaves a variety of staple ingredients in in the kitchen cupboards and supplies washing powder, cleaning materials etc in the bathroom. The garden is also well stocked with furniture and a good barbecue. The setting on the golf course is lovely - even if the trees do cast some shadow over the garden - and it's conveniently close to the town and the lakes. Having the two bikes was a real bonus and we made full use of them. This is a great location for exploring the surrounding area, especially the vineyards of the Haut Medoc, and we would happily return for another holiday.

Fantastic holiday home!

We had such a lovely week here, house is home from home, fully equipped and comfortable with loads of information from the owners on the local area. Booking was so easy, great communication from Carolyn and Steve. Great location, used bikes to cycle to the beach and nearby lake at La Moutchic which our children loved! Wild Atlantic waves to have fun in at the beach and safe swimming at the lake...and fantastic golf course on the doorstep. Thanks for a great holiday, we hope to return! C'est Manifique

From the moment I booked this house I have nothing but praise for the owners communication and the house itself. My wife and I needed somewhere quiet with the option of activities if we wanted. With food from the local Super U (especially swordfish steaks) and the BBQ, much of our time was spent lazing on the patio enjoying the warmth. However we managed several long walks along the beach and a couple of meals out. The house was clean, tidy and had everything you needed for a home from home experience. The use of the bikes to cycle into Lacanau Ocean was invaluable and the pool, clean and well maintained was very welcome during our stay.Having secured our dates for next year I would strongly recommend this property. Thank you Carolyn & Steve for a wonderful holiday.

Excellent holiday home

We had a really enjoyable stay in Lacanau. It was most efficiently organised by Carolyn and Steve who were very responsive, helpful hosts. The house was clean and had all the facilities needed for a self catering holiday. The accommodation was ideal for 2 adults or a family of 3 or 4. It was perfectly located for golfers with a great course on the doorstep. Alternatively it was only a short walk/bike ride to the beach and other facilities in Lacanau Ocean. A great deal of thought has been put into presenting this as a holiday home - a credit to Steve & Carolyn.

Excellent holiday

We have just returned from staying at Lacanau Ocean. The owners are a first class team, Caroline was very efficient with our booking process and even sent us a welcome text on day of arrival! The house was clean and equipped for a family of four to stay. They even had 4 body boards for us to use to enjoy the surf!!

My husband Steve and I bought the house in Lacanau Ocean in 2005 It just happened that we got the keys on our silver wedding anniversary so it has always been a very special place to us. Since then we have had so many wonderful holidays there, at least five trips a year, often enjoyed with family and friends. We lived in south west London for thirty years and have a grown up daughter and son. We have come to love France so much that in 2012 we took the plunge to move here permanently and now live just under two hours drive from Lacanau Ocean. We look after the house ourselves and, although we often don't actually meet our guests from Owners direct, we find it so rewarding. We love hearing about people's holidays in Lacanau.

Why they chose this property

We chose our holiday home because we wanted to be very close to the sea and we also love the close proximity of the stunning string of lakes and the fact that you can do pretty much anything you like to do on vacation in this amazing holiday location. The exclusive setting in the scented pine forests gives that sense of coming away into a completely separate world. We also love the freedom of using the cycle paths to get around. On a bike you can ride down the path at the back of the house and be on the beach in around ten minutes (depending on how fast you ride). It's walkable too, around forty minutes stroll through pine shaded paths. In the other direction you have a string of stunning lakes, with sandy beaches for gentle swimming. Our son is a surfer and Lacanau ocean hosts an annual surf competition.

What makes this property unique

We bought the house when it was just in the early construction stage because we fell in love with the beautiful and unique setting. This is a modern, open plan holiday home set in a mature, pine forest location It is an easy to live in, comfortable, relaxing home from home furnished stylishly and generously. Easy access to beaches, lakes, and forest cycle paths You will love the shared pool only a few steps from the house. Outdoors there is a small garden at the front and sliding doors from your living room lead to terrace and garden at the back.
If you should happen to be a golfer you can walk from the house to the free golf practice range. Golfers will find three beautiful courses, the "Golfing d'Ardilouse is one of the top sixty rated french courses. The club house and hotel are close to the house and have good restaurants. It is a challenging course but you can also choose to play the full length separate nine hole course, or there is a pitch and putt with a golf school. No need for a car for any golfing.
