About this property
High Specification House With Views To Die For!
This unique property is located on the outskirts of Shaftesbury in an elevated position which allows for some of the finest views across the rolling countryside. The accommodation is finished to the highest standard offering four bedrooms, an upstairs sitting room and a balcony to take in the breathtaking views and sunsets that are something else! The property has been recently overhauled to reveal the 200 year old stone walls and extended with an oak frame with exposed beams and rooms opened up to the eaves. The modern facilities include a games room with pool table, a darts board and table football and there are 2 sitting rooms with flat screen TVs. The historic hilltop town of Shaftesbury has strong appeal for holidaymakers. It is the home of Gold Hill, the setting for the famous Hovis advertisement with its steep cobbled street lined with picturesque cottages. This is just one example of the charm of Shaftesbury's historically preserved streets and buildings.

2 week family holiday. Cracking views. Very quiet. And a very well stocked kitchen.
Had a lovely time, chilled out, plenty of table tennis and cycling.
Nice comfy beds. A lots to do in this area.
We had a great week at The Cottage. Truly awesome views from the balcony and a generally high quality stay all round. We all loved the table tennis and pool table and the garden offers plenty to do as well. Area full of places to visit. Great house and location.
Our first staycation in a while..and what can we say, it didn’t disappoint. Our first trip to Dorset - what a beautiful county!
The house was like home from home..:with everything there that we needed - the beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen had all the amenities, we had a tesco delivery on the first day which was really great! The men loved the games room especially the pool table and the children absolutely loved the trampoline - so did the adults too!
The climbing frame & slide is in need of updating, but apart from that the garden was amazing.
The views from the terrace was amazing and the sunsets and star gazing in the evening were breathtaking.
We used the house as a base and had many days out - nothing was too far. But to be honest could have stayed in the house all week and enjoyed the beautiful garden.
Saskia the host answered the questions we had quickly & efficiently during our stay.
We all had an absolutely amazing time and would recommend to family and friends and would definitely go back in a heartbeat!
