My five friends and I stayed in the Dovers Barn for three nights, as we were in town for a wedding. The barn was charming and located on the very rural landscape of Millmoor Farm, which boasts an assortment of farm animals such as pigs, cows, goats, sheep and chicken. It smells like a farm, which definitely adds to the authenticity of the experience. The Barn had a great layout with a large dine in kitchen (outfitted with all appliances and cookware needed), and a living area upstairs. There was a balcony on the second level which we enjoyed in the morning. The barn sleeps seven and has two really nice bathrooms which to me is a lot of bang for your buck. Sally’s listing attracted us for all of these reasons, but also because we were allowed to cancel up until very close to the date, which made us feel like we had the flexibility to change our plans if need be. Sally was available via text or phone call any time we had questions.. she’s really nice!
One heads up I’d offer is that you need to book your taxis in advance. Being that this is in a bit of a remote area the taxi companies have limited availability so the more in advance you book the better.
Anyway staying at Drovers Barn was an experience my friends and I won’t forget and I would highly recommend it! Nearby pubs that we enjoyed very much were the Cholmondeley Arms and Dusty Miller.
