About this property

This 16th century farmhouse is situated on the edge of a quiet hamlet, in its own grounds, which include a large private swimming pool, and a secure pond with free-range ducks and chickens. Table Tennis, Badminton set and Wifi, also available. The property has been tastefully renovated to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation, whilst retaining original beams and stone walls. Ideal for a complete "break from it all", or as a base for touring the many delights of this region. Many activities nearby, including golf, fishing, horse-riding and karting. Within easy reach of Poitiers and Futuroscope, the Marais Poitevin (Green Venice), the Puy du Fou, the Loire Valley, La Rochelle and the Atlantic Coast, the beautiful Ile de Re and other islands, Cognac and much, much more.

"Wheelchair friendly" accommodation on one floor, giving a distinct "cottage feel". Combined lounge/kitchen/dining area comprising gas hob and good sized electric oven, microwave, fridge & washing machine.
Bathroom/WC is in the form of a wetroom with a larger-than-average shower area and is wheelchair accessible.

Gite à la campagne avec piscine et proche du FLIP

Nous cherchions un pied-à-terre pour pouvoir profiter au mieux du FLIP. Ce gite répondait à nos attentes : une surface plus grande que les gites que nous avions les années précédentes, un proprio fort sympathique, une piscine pour un réveil tonique (elle est bonne quand on est dedans), une table de ping en extérieur, le tout à un quart d'heure du FLIP. Une bonne adresse !

We have been resident in France since the beginning of 2002. We are a very relaxed, easy going couple, aiming to provide the ideal atmosphere for both families and couples. We live "on site" and are bilingual, Mark translates and teaches French, so we are always available for any help or guidance that may be needed.

Why they chose this property

We chose the area for it's convenient location. There are easy journeys to : the Chateaux of The Loire Valley, the beaches/ports and islands of La Rochelle, The Marais Poitevin (also known as Green Venice) and Cognac.

What makes this property unique

We enjoy the peace and quiet of the location whilst still being close to all amenities, ie shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. We love the friendliness of our French neighbours and tending daily to our animals.
