This unique, quaint one-bedroom apartment is the perfect getaway for long-term stays in Assisi's city center.

The apartment is on the second floor of a 12th century newly-restored building, just a few steps away from the main square of Assisi, yet in a quiet and peaceful medieval backstreet.

The apartment is fully-equipped for long-term stays with a 4-burner gas stove, oven, microwave, ample assortment of dishes and pots and pans, washing machine, iron, hair dryer, A/C, central heating, television, radio and fast-speed reliable WiFi. .

Our "Tranquil Nest" is suited for lone travellers or couples who wish to live Assisi's enchanting medieval atmosphere at its fullest - and take the time to explore nearby medieval hill towns, e.g., Spello, Spoleto, Perugia, Deruta, Bevagna, Montefalco, Gubbio, Todi, Orvieto, Lake Trasimeno area.

Excellent local grocery store, butcher and fruit and vegetable market are just minutes away on foot, as is the Assisi tourist office (English spoken!). City bus stop to reach the train station is a 10-minute walk and a large covered parking lot is just 5 minutes away.

Our apartment blends modern amenities with Umbrian artisan traditions, from the artworks on the walls by local artists to the textiles in the bedroom. Creating “the nest” was a joy – and our main goal is to have our guests truly feel at home while in Assisi.

Best location, quaint and petfect

Giulia our host met us practically as we stepped out of our taxi at the main square. She walked with us to the apartment and gave us an introduction and tips on things to see and restaurants. The apartment is up about two flights of easy stairs and is located a three minute walk from the center of everything In Assisi. Cute and quaint the apartment is the best for a couple. We would stay there again.

Return to Assisi

Having stayed here in 2019 I couldn't wait to come back. Location is perfect to be in the historic center, restaurants are around every corner, coffee bars, gelato shops and all kinds of souvenir shops are right up and down the street. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay and for long term travelers the washing machine is great. Owners are extremely helpful and know all the best places to visit in Umbria. Truly a restful nest to relax and enjoy your time in the beautiful city of Assisi.

A lovely experience

I spent 5 nights at the Tranquil Nest and it was a wonderful experience. The apartment is very quiet and centrally located. It has been furnished with great attention to detail, so you immediately feel at home and at the same time surrounded by the Umbrian flair. Anna is a wonderful hostess who lives the history and culture of "her" Umbria with much enthusiasm and passion. I will definitely come again.

Central Assisi Apartment

Firstly, this apartment is located in one of Italy’s most beloved and beautiful towns. The apartment could not be better located with easy access to the town center via a back lane and steps to the central commune. The apartment has 38 steps up to the doorway which in my case due to a recent accident was difficult, particularly with luggage. Once inside, the apartment is truly represented by the photos provided. All amenities are provided including a bottle of wine and cookies from Anne, the owner who is readily accessible by phone or email and is extremely helpful. (thank you Anne). For a tall person, low ceilings in the bedroom and kitchen were something to be aware of. My only criticism focuses on the bed, which needs either a new mattress or box spring. Assisi is both spiritual and historic and a place to visit again Dennis (Canada)

Fantastic

Property was great, well stocked, and location is perfect for seeing Assisi and area. Owners, Anne and Pino, are so helpful and friendly. Outstanding place to stay for your visit to Umbria. All the information you need to get around Umbria was provided and if I needed anything else I just contacted Anne and she gave me all the help required and more. The information on art shows, concerts, festivals and tours of major sites is yours to be had in Assisi by staying with Anne. Great fun, great apartment and great owners. Thank you ever so much. I'll be back as soon as possible.
